We are seeking a live in caregiver for an elderly woman with progressive dementia. Care recipient is elderly, mobile and semi-independent but she is weak and needs cueing and assistance/reminders to do some tasks. The role includes: - assisting with personal daily tasks (mostly reminders and cues and some decision support) - cue for medication and insulin - meal prep (from kits) - personal support where needed (selecting clothes) - home organization/tidying, laundry and fridge/food management. - companionship during visits and meal times. (conversation , coloring) - brief very short walks, brief stretching. - playing games/interaction/intellectual stimulation at the house. - some shifts can include outings. - accompany to some dr., hair/nail appointments. We would like to find dedicated people who can commit to a long term position as she ages in her home. You will have your own semi furnished bedroom, dedicated bathroom, access to all of the house, and wifi/cable included. Salary is based on experience and interest. Preference to caregivers who enjoy elderly people and have experience with dementia AND have excellent english speaking skills.
