About The Opportunity McDougall Energy is looking for a highly skilled Solutions Analyst to join our team on a 6‑month contract. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Solutions Analyst will possess in‑depth technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable solutions. The role will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver technology solutions that meet our business goals and client requirements. Responsibilities Deploy new and existing software and applications. Interface with Business Analysts, Solution Developer Analysts, Architects, and end users to plan, design, and deliver new and existing applications. Interface with other departments as required, assisting with IT projects (End‑User Acceptance Testing, etc.). Utilize ITSM, update incidents, perform changes, etc. Produce system design artifacts and required technical documents following the SDLC process. Lead the implementation Proof‑Of‑Concept (POC) on key technologies. About You Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Five (5)+ years of experience as a Solutions Analyst or similar role. Strong understanding of software development methodologies and frameworks. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong experience with technologies: SQL Server, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps. Knowledge of SDLC best practices: MVC, Agile, RAD, Iterative, testing patterns. Knowledge of layered software, database, and structure environments (Cloud or hosted), including application security administration. Working knowledge of reporting tools within a SQL environment.
