Overview Our fresh bread facility in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a Production Supervisor, who will provide manufacturing front-line leadership to multiple lines, and deliver results. Supervisors are responsible for taking ownership in their area of responsibilities for leading, motivating and developing front-line employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results. This is done through enhancing teamwork, effective communications, actively listening to employees, and driving change. Additionally, the Production Supervisor must focus on safety, process efficiency and continuous improvement, quality assurance, and meeting customer expectations. Responsibilities Ensure teams follow safe work practices. Address unsafe working conditions and any team member safety concerns. Complete thorough incident investigations and develop corrective actions to appropriately reduce or eliminate risk. Conduct workplace inspections and audits and address risk. Drive a culture of 0 tolerance with LOTO and other life saving procedures; Conduct workplace inspections and audits and be proactive to address potential issues; Provide orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force. Assign and oversee formal training and sign off on completed training requirements; Ensure product quality and food safety requirements are met through verification of quality checks and lot tracking per HACCP plan; Ensure the required equipment, materials, supplies and manpower are available; Provide leadership necessary to ensure the team meets or exceeds targets; Lead optimization of production equipment and processes needed to meet and exceed downtime and waste targets; Establish and sustain a positive and cooperative working environment through effective communications with all employees; Provide effective, timely and fair performance and disciplinary feedback to team members and document as needed.     Overview
    The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the overall direction and guidance of the maintenance team in the daily planning and execution of preventive maintenance and repair of all production equipment. This position will also provide guidance to third-party contractors and work with the corporate maintenance team to ensure the necessary support for the bakery.

    Responsibilities

    Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving larger process improvements to achieve specific measurable goals.
    Use information tools to seek opportunities to improve production line efficiencies, trends and bakery priorities.
    Meet equipment reliability targets within budget.
    Provide other problem troubleshooting services and identify outside support needed to resolve issues.
    Provide technical leadership to ensure service and installation meet or exceed objectives.
    Develop, maintain and enforce a training plan for all employees.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in a technical field.
    At least 3-5 years' experience managing and supervising maintenance in a production facility (food preferred).
    Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
    Familiarity with automated process/packaging technology an asset.
    Experience working in a computerized preventive maintenance program an asset.
    Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook and experience with ERP/BPCS systems).
    A decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    A leader with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills who interacts easily with others and is able to lead and motivate a team.
