Working closely with product managers and IT team members, the business analyst will liaise with business stakeholders to refine product requirements, translate those requirements into user stories and validate that the deployed solution meets the business need. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence at least twice pre week.Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities Develop and prepare business requirements and user stories:Analyze current state, perform gap analysis, and help evaluate solutions that align to business needs.Participate in discussions with stakeholders to develop, validate, and prioritize business requirements.Collaborating with business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.Impact analysis on system and process changes.Responsible for developing and curating ideas that will deliver value to all stakeholders.Develop, produce, and maintain procedures, process maps, and documentation as required.Coordinate with the product team to test software changes and ensure that functionality meets stated user requirements.Helping to define the overall product vision and road map.Helping to manage the product backlog and prioritizing based on changing requirements.Assisting in all stages of product creation including design, development and validation.Liaising with the underwriting and claims team and other end-users to deliver updates.Complete Business Acceptance Testing.Provide 2nd and 3rd tier support for incidents that require more specific knowledge of technical issues and IT systems and/or deeper knowledge of business processes.Manage and troubleshoot client-raised tickets and determine internal priority and scope of work required .QualificationsProficiency in business analysis techniques with 1-3 years experience as a business analyst within the Financial Services sectorKnowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development MethodologyUnderstanding of user-centered design principles and quality standardsUniversity degree in the field of Business, Management, Communications or equivalentBusiness Analyst (CCBA or CBAP) certification is an assetExcellent communication, presentation, written and leadership skillsBilingual (English and French) an asset If you are looking for a career in an exciting and rewarding company, are driven to excel, thrive in a team environment and want to contribute to the success of an organization that values your contribution, we would like to hear from you!We are committed to an inclusive and barrier-free workplace that reflects the diversity in each of our offices across Canada.
