    About the role

    We’re looking for a Field Claims Representative to join our growing team at Intact Prestige!

    What you'll do here:

    Investigate complex high-net-worth personal lines property claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with customers, contractors, consultants and any other related parties. Handle field tasks or attend on-site to help customers Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process. Document the claim file by meeting with all involved parties and obtaining appropriate reports and statements from customers, appraisers, third party adjusters, claimants, witnesses, police, and any other pertinent experts to determine coverage. Analyze the information gathered, interpret insurance policy wording, determines coverage, assesses damage. Within established authority limits, negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims. Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, as well as appraisal or investigation. Use problem solving to implement unique tailored solutions that meet high-net-worth customers' needs Build the Prestige Brand with our broker partners and use strategic thinking to work on projects and implement valued added improvements to our claims process.

    What you bring to the table:

    University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role 5 to 7 years experience handling personal and/or commercial property claims with at least partly acquired experience directly in the field Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's licence with a good driving record Can travel on short notice Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

    About the role

    We’re looking for a Field Special Investigator for our growing team!

    What you'll do here:

    Evaluate concerns and fraud indicators to develop investigative plans for all lines of business in insurance claims, including Property, Auto Fire and Theft, Cargo, Casualty, Accident Benefits and claims with Legal disputes.
    Conduct all aspects of the investigations, including in-person and telephone interviews with individuals, businesses, law enforcement, and all entities pertinent to the claim.
    Collect, source and preserve evidence as it relates to investigations, including statements, records, reports, and salvage.
    Analyze information to identify trends, summarize findings and make recommendations to the business for further investigation and claims handling.
    Consult internally with Claims business units, and provide resources and recommendations to support the fraud initiatives, as required.
    Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and prepare reports, trial briefs, and updates on investigations in a timely and respectful manner.
    Build and maintain productive business relationships with law enforcement (police, fire, border control), government bodies, and investigative organizations.
    Attend court proceedings or hearings, as required.
    Participate and/or lead project work and training initiatives, internal and external.
    Work using a home office and company vehicle (with an assigned administrative office in the GTA).

    What you bring to the table:

    University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
    Minimum 12 years of field investigative experience.
    Minimum of 2 years insurance claims investigation experience.
    Strong investigative interviewing and statement-taking skill.
    Comprehensive knowledge of evidence continuity, collection best practices, and privacy laws.
    Excellent written / verbal communication and documentation skills.
    Strong interpersonal and networking / relationship-building skills.
    Experience in providing testimony in judicial proceedings and/or insurance examinations.
    Must have valid Driver’s licence and a good driving record.
    Excellent time management and workload management skills.
    Working knowledge of Outlook.
    Law Enforcement experience, strong asset.
    Ability to solve problems and innovate investigation strategy.
    Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
