NOW HIRING!! Short Term Employment Opportunity!! A&R Greenhouses Ltd has multiple positions available for individuals interested in tree seedling extraction and packing. We are seeking able bodied, energetic and committed individuals for SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT. There are 30 positions available for a duration of approximately 5 weeks beginning Monday November 3, 2025. All work will take place at our Hurkett location. A&R Greenhouses Hurkett facility is located 45 mins east of Thunder Bay Ontario/20 mins west of Nipigon Ontario on Hwy 11/17 Fire # 202 Hurkett (near Black Sturgeon turn off) Seedlings are grown in styro block containers and range in height from 15 to 25cm. Successful applicants will be required to extract seedlings from the containers and wrap them into bundles. All work is done indoors. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday (occasionally extended work hours will be required to complete production tasks). Wages start at $17.60 per hour plus 4%VP ($18.30 per hour) NOTE: WAGES INCREASE with performance and commitment. We DO NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION but travel incentives are offered.
