    Reporting to the VP of IDD & Geomatics, the IDD Director will be leading and integrating all technical and engineering work streams across the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliant, high‑quality design delivery aligned with Aecon’s digital and BIM standards.

    What You’ll Do Here:

    To provide leadership, support and co‑ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from design through to construction.

    Technical work streams may include but are not limited to; All engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and civil engineering.

    Ensuring that the design developed meets the technical specifications of the project as well as the applicable law, codes, and standards.

    Ensure delivery of IDD in accordance with Aecon’s IDD/BIM related processes and procedures and support future developments.

    Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team on our projects.

    Ensure the IDD requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functions.

    Lead and mentor a team of managers and coordinators.

    Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

    What You Bring to the Team:

    10+ years of experience leading engineering and IDD Functions in the construction industry.

    Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice.

    Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle.

    Experience working within construction project environments.

    Experience of large complex infrastructure projects would be an asset.

    Strong understanding of design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works.

    On‑site construction experience is desired.

    Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer‑first attitude.

    Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision.

    Ability to travel to site, mobile for projects.

    About Us The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and AtkinsRéalis and the Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Framatome, both located in Kincardine, Ontario. Our projects are the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors including the steam generators at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

    The Project Director reports to the Executive Steering Committee.

    What You’ll Do Here

    Develop an appropriate organization that can execute major refurbishment projects.

    Has the critical capability to develop, connect and create relationships with clients that are productive and partnered in nature.

    Has significant experience collaborating clients and creating relationships between Owners and Contractors that are productive and partnered.

    Is the key relationship with the client and works to build a range of effective relationships that allows for the most appropriate execution of the projects.

    Manages the Strategic Vision to develop a real and powerful competitive advantage in the nuclear industry but specifically for key work in Canada.

    Works to contribute to the strategic capabilities and advantages of the member companies.

    Understands the balance between schedule, cost, quality and safety and works to create effective outcomes for clients.

    Works to ensure that alignment between the member companies exists and is a powerful foundation for the effective functioning of the Steering Committee.

    Has the experience and the background to guide Project through all phases of the refurbishment project.

    Has a full and exhaustive understanding of the contract. Understands the issues created by the contract and is the key person responsible for guiding the Shoreline organization through various negotiations.

    Is responsible for creating the right flows of information and communication with key stakeholders and the owner.

    Is a critical contributor and is integrated into the strategy and planning processes for the two member companies.

    What You Bring To The Team

    BSc in Engineering or equivalent experience.

    20+ years of experience in managing major refurbishment or largescale nuclear projects.

    Experience managing and working in a large joint venture.

    EPC experience.

    Technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems and terminology.

    Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications.

    Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting.

    Significant experience and understanding of the Nuclear Industry and its approaches, including requirements of both Owners and Contractors.

    Specific experience with Bruce Power or current CEO would be an asset.

    Experience of working in a live nuclear environment.

    Knowledge of and existing relationships within the nuclear sector.

    Must be knowledgeable of INPO (Institute of Nuclear Power Operation) practices and principles and practice same.

    Must have a full appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.

    Experience in a key role in Utility Nuclear Leadership is valued.

    Experience as a Nuclear Operator is important to the execution of the project from the standpoint of the various phases of the project.

    Experience working for a Nuclear Generating Station in an Operations capacity would be preferable.

    Substantial experience in building functional Joint Ventures that effectively execute work.

    High level of executive management exposure which will include having built, managed and sustained a high performing business to deliver profitable growth.

    A strong business and technical mix is required in order to understand and influence key internal and external stakeholders.

    Has significant experience working with Senior Executive Leadership and developing critical productive relationships.

    What is the Opportunity?

    Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Executive Search Recruiter will lead and execute VP-level and other mission-critical searches across Aecon.     What is the Opportunity? Nuclear’s portfolio of building, refurbishing, maintaining, and decommissioning nuclear power facilities reflects a record of project success that ranges from small but essential maintenance contracts, to major construction endeavors. Aecon supports clients with expert project management to the most exacting standards.

    Working with our joint venture partner Atkins Realis, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded the definition phase contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to assist in planning the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler replacement (RFBR) project. This project involves the refurbishment of four reactors and replacement of the forty eight steam generators at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.

    What You’ll Do Here:

    Develop Welding techniques, procedures, and application of Welding equipment, using knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and Weld engineering principles.

    Provide expertise and work closely with Welders, supervisors and Welding Engineers to determine optimal Welding parameters with equipment type, process, joint configuration, and consumable selection.

    Oversee the welding operations during the preparation of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Weld Procedure Qualification (WPQ) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

    Ensuring that site conditions are suitable for the planned Welding activities prior to mobilization of Welding Operators and performing corrections as applicable with the support of the Execution Construction Team.

    Maintain a regular job-site presence to continuously monitor and oversee in-process Welding activities.

    Ensuring that Welding Operators are using the correct Welding procedures for the applicable Welding process.

    Verifying that Welding Operators are adhering to issued Welding procedures.

    Ensuring that Welding Tooling and Equipment is correctly configured for the applicable Welding process.

    Review and verification of Weld data and results following Weld completion.

    Lead Welding and Welding Tooling related troubleshooting activities at site.

    Report Welding related issues, including Tooling and Human Performance issues, to Supervision.

    Support emergent Weld Procedure Development activities.

    As required, manage the qualification of welders for field and shop welding personnel.

    Preparation of Aecon Technical Specifications and requisitions for Weld consumables, including Special Purchasing Instructions.

    Ability to interpret Aecon and customer drawings, codes, standards, and procedures and communicate review findings with applicable project personnel.

    Ensure process control is maintained throughout critical Welding activities.

    Training of welders on weld procedures, processes and welding equipment, and the maintenance of same.

    Review detailed drawings and determine joint configurations and Weld symbols.

    As required, manage the qualification of Welders for field and shop Welding personnel.

    Stay current with and introduce new technologies.

    What You Bring To The Team:

    Minimum 3 years of manufacturing/fabrication or related industry knowledge.

    Graduate of Welding Technology Program or equivalent, or equivalent practical experience.

    Certification as a CWB Welding Supervisor would be an asset.

    Strong working knowledge of arc welding processes and equipment is essential.

    Knowledge of ASME Code Section III and IX, CWB W47.1 & 2 and CSA W59, AWS D1.1/D1.6 considered an asset.

    Good working knowledge of NDE methods for VT/MT/PT/RT and UT.

    Significant experience operating and supporting Orbital Welding Tooling is an asset.

    General knowledge of Manufacturing methods and procedures.

    Working knowledge with MS based computer applications.

    Work well in a team environment.

    Strong written, verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

    Aecon Nuclear currently is undertaking efforts to replace key components at the Darlington and Bruce Power plants as a part of each respective Life Extension Program to allow operation for another 40+ years. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, feeders, and steam generators as well as technical development, construction management and trade labour.

    Aecon Nuclear is also currently at the forefront of the next generation of Nuclear Power in Canada by fabricating and constructing the first of a kind SMR facility in Darlington in addition to potential other new build large scale reactors among other exciting nuclear industry efforts across North America and Europe.

    Reporting to the Project Controls Director, the Senior Project Controls Specialist (Senior Cost Controller) will be responsible for providing project controls support to Aecon’s ongoing mega‑projects in the Nuclear sector.

    What You’ll Do Here

    Assist in project set‑up activities, including establishing the WBS & all control accounts, reconciling bids to awards, setting the cost & schedule baseline

    Participate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and baselines

    Participate in customer and internal management project status reporting meetings

    Liaise with external groups (Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Construction, etc.) to gain inputs into Project Controls reports

    Create & maintain project status update reports, forecast reports & project dashboards; ensure timely issuance to internal & external stakeholders (per client requirements)

    Create & maintain customized reports or dashboards to adapt to evolving risks & project needs

    Develop and maintain resource plans, ensuring cost & schedule alignment

    Regularly conduct variance analysis to understand trends & other baseline deviations in support of rigorous change management; provide variance narratives & propose corrective actions or recovery plans

    Assist in monitoring project health & performance; ensure key performance metrics are well articulated to project leadership

    Regularly conduct detailed analysis on project performance key metrics (e.g. CPI, SPI, key commodity tracking, etc.); propose corrective actions to maintain performance/productivity; provide timely feedback to project leadership on adverse trends

    Prepare Earned Value Management KPIs to assess project performance

    Assist in the creation & maintenance of tools & templates that ensure compliance with the processes outlined Project Controls plan & contract requirements

    Support the development of project‑specific Project Controls plans, and the development of tools & templates

    Develop and maintain a change log to track all internal & external changes and monitor progress through the change management process

    Review the contract to ensure compliance with contract conditions regarding reporting, change management, and all other Project Controls areas

    Provide mentorship & guidance to junior team members

    Provide subject‑matter expertise to project team on any customized reporting tools & dashboards

    Assist in developing, establishing, and maintaining the project's cost management system

    Establish and maintain the CBS & control accounts in alignment with baseline budgets

    Manage chart of accounts library to ensure consistency & alignment with established budgets; ensure WBS & CBS alignment.

    Proactively monitor forecasts to ensure timely closure of closed cost accounts

    Ensure forecasts are updated timely & accurately; ensure forecasting is informed by performance KPIs & project trends.

    Regularly conduct detailed labour rate analysis to gauge impact of economic factors & actualize cost multiplier assumptions; update forecasts accordingly

    Liaise with Finance & Accounting teams to support project level financial forecasting & month end reporting

    Liaise with Procurement, Finance & Accounting teams to ensure appropriate Subcontractor & Purchase order management, accurate incurred cost reporting via timely accruals & invoicing

    Prepare and update project cash flow forecasts in alignment with the project schedule

    Assist in facilitating risk review meetings

    Collaborate on early identification & assessment of critical project issues and risks, and suggested corrective actions

    Coordinate with Risk Manager in developing risk register & assist in updating the risk register

    Assist in preparing inputs for risk modeling

    Perform schedule risk analysis utilizing Monte Carlo risk modeling tools

    Incorporate the results of the Quantitative Risk Analysis into the forecast

    Assist in the development of a project‑specific Risk Management Plan for incorporation into the Project Controls Plan

    What You Bring To The Team

    5–10 years of related experience.

    Demonstrated Analytical & Adaptive Thinking

    Quantitative, Engineering or Construction Management Post‑Secondary Degree

    Due to the nature of the work, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment
