What is the Opportunity: The EHS Advisor will be responsible to actively promote a health, safety and environmental culture to all levels of employees with the policies and procedures of Aecon’s Health, Safety and Environmental Manual. Please note this is a 3-month hourly contract position based in Windsor, ON. Training will take place during the day shift and once complete this role will transition to a night shift (6:00 pm - 4:30 am). The average work week will consist of 5 working days that are 10-hours in duration, with the potential for weekend overtime work available. What You'll Do Here: Conduct safety orientation to workers, owners and clients. Train employees on Aecon Health, Safety and Environmental Manual. Train or co-ordinate training for employees (e.g., fall protection, confined space entry, WHMIS, respiratory protection, emergency response). Conduct workplace inspections, behaviour based observations and audits. Update Material Safety Data Sheets as required. Develop worksite safety plans – such as emergency plans, environmental or site safety plans. Distribution of safety material, supplies and equipment. Safety presentations to clients. Promoting the Aecon safety system to potential industry clients. Conduct studies and analyze EHS data trends. Recommend & monitor corrective actions. Assists with workers compensation claims. Develop return to work and modified work programs. Incident investigations. Mediate health and safety issues for resolution. Liaise with Government agencies as required. Prepare and assist with external safety audits. Coordination of environmental issues. Gather and provide EHS based statistics. What You Bring to the Team: Successful applicant must possess at minimum 3-5 years experience of related safety experience. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Excellent meeting and training facilitation. Adaptable and flexible to an ever-changing environment. What You’ll Do Here Overall responsibility and management of bid submissions, proposal strategies and cost estimates. Produce estimates and proposals that align with overall business objectives and financial requirements. Compile inputs from various sources to produce organized proposals, detailed estimates and P6 schedules. Collaborate with a team of estimators and support personnel to produce the required proposal deliverables. Review and comment on client RFP/Tender documents, drawings, specifications and contracts.     What You'll Do Here
    Overall responsibility for project’s compliance to Aecon’s Project Controls standards and applicable contract documents. Establish and maintain the project’s integrated Project Controls systems, oversee the setting of the cost and schedule baseline. Lead meetings focused on communicating project performance status to the wider project team. Lead a team of Project Controls staff specializing in planning, scheduling, cost control, change management and risk management. Support Project Managers in tracking overall project health; establish and maintain communication plan to ensure accurate and timely flow of information. Provide input into the continuous improvement of Aecon’s Project Controls policies and guidelines. Oversee analysis and reporting of project performance key metrics (e.g. CPI, SPI, key commodity tracking, etc.); propose corrective actions to maintain performance/productivity; provide timely alerts on adverse trends. Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management plan to measure project performance, identify variances, and inform accurate forecasting. Lead the development of project-specific Project Controls plans, documenting processes and procedures to be followed on the project. Lead the development and implementation of a project-specific change management plan, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and Aecon’s standards. Provide support to Commercial and Procurement teams on subcontractor claims assessment, client claims development, negotiations and dispute resolutions. Provide commercial and technical expertise to support proposal development and provide commercial input into contractually defined project control requirements. Ensure adherence to all contract conditions regarding Project Controls requirements, project set-up, monitoring and close-out. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with client counterparts and joint venture stakeholders (where applicable). Conduct annual performance reviews and provide constructive feedback; implement performance improvement plans as needed with support from HR. Participate in project-level resource planning, utilization analysis and resource leveling; manage and maintain Project Controls staffing plan forecasts. Develop a project specific Risk Management Plan for incorporation into the Project Controls Plan. Establish cadence for risk reviews and lead risk review meetings to identify, evaluate and update risks that may have a cost and/or schedule impact. Assist risk owners in establishing, implementing and tracking mitigating actions and contingency plans. Establish quantitative risk analysis (QRA) cadence; oversee QRA and articulate the results and variance analysis to project leadership.

    What You Bring To The Team
    Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent. 15+ years construction industry experience. Proven experience and ability in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, estimating and cost control. Strong knowledge of the “Earned Value Management” principles. Ability to produce, read and modify schedules and scheduling curves/reports. Natural leader and team builder who can build strong relationships quickly. Proven ability to effectively lead project controls staff. Proven strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly identify and articulate issues. Proven problem solver with sound judgment who accepts ownership and accountability. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees. Detail oriented and customer focused. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SAP and required project controls software which may include Primavera, Hard Dollar, Accubid. Proficient in English and French required.

Position Overview The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has been awarded contracts for Unit 5, 7, and 8 for steam generator replacements as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project. The Quality Supervisor , reporting to the Quality Manager , is responsible for the supervision of the site QC inspection teams and ensures quality and associated documentation meet Code, Customer, and quality program requirements. The position reports on quality and technical matters to the applicable shop or site Quality Manager or designate. What You Will Do Here Ensure the Quality team receives all required safety training and that they work in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure quality programs are fully implemented. Supervision and support of QC Inspectors in all daily work activities. Training of staff and guidance in the performance of their duties. Timely inspections are being performed. Compliance to project specifications, drawings, and relevant code requirements. Physical & visual inspections of projects in progress. Interface with customer/owner and Code inspectors is provided. Accurate and timely documentation submittals. Compliance with all quality elements relating to the CWB, B&PV and Nuclear Quality Programs. Feedback to QC Inspectors on performance of duties. Encouragement and coaching of employee(s) to foster professional development. Effective teamwork is promoted within the QC Inspection team. Support and assistance to employees in coordinating activities requiring the cooperation of suppliers, distributors, and other divisions. Development and supervision in the preparation of job-related documentation. Coordination of QC work according to daily and weekly production schedules. Required periodic activities are performed including cleaning and calibrating of equipment, providing testing materials, organizing equipment, and ordering supplies. Assist in developing Quality Procedures and Work Instructions for both shop and site projects. Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry. Aecon Nuclear’s portfolio of building, refurbishing, maintaining, and decommissioning nuclear power facilities reflects a record of project success that ranges from small but essential maintenance contracts, to major construction endeavors. Aecon supports clients with expert project management to the most exacting standards. Working with our joint venture partner Atkins Realis, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded the definition phase contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to assist in planning the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler replacement (RFBR) project. This project involves the refurbishment of four reactors and replacement of the forty eight steam generators at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager the Senior Planner is responsible for the development, implementation, training and execution of all project controls processes and systems on a large-complex project. What You'll Do Here Develop & maintain complex construction and engineering resource-loaded schedules in compliance with customer scheduling standards/protocols as specified in the contract Develop & maintain basis of schedule documenting all assumptions & parameters underpinning the baseline schedule Create lookahead reports, resource profiles & other customized P6 reports Assist in project set-up, casting baseline budgets, setting up rules of credit to support earned value management; ensure WBS & CBS alignment Liaise with Construction on scheduling sequencing, assist in determining schedule priorities, support constructability reviews Proactively identify schedule variances, logic gaps etc.; facilitate the development of recovery plans & other remedial action plans Enter daily/weekly progress into the schedule & provide progress status reports Maintain detailed baseline or schedule change logs to ensure integrity of the performance measurement baseline Regularly perform critical path analysis to flag delays, identify near critical paths & parallel paths within the schedule Regularly perform schedule quality analysis utilizing assessment tools (e.g. Acumen Fuse) Ensure schedule quality by addressing deficiencies from schedule quality analysis Support change management process by analyzing trends & schedule impact assessments Support risk management process by providing inputs into schedule risk analysis modeling Maintain baselines with approved changes, ensuring contractual alignment Regularly export schedules into Aecon records if the schedule is managed in the client's environment Develop fragnets to be carried out throughout the project lifecycle, across the different phases for use on similar scopes Lead meetings focused on assessing schedule progress, obtaining schedule updates & general schedule coordination Perform regular field tours to validate progress Assist in the development of a project-specific Schedule Management Plan for incorporation into the Project Controls Plan Identify & lead rebase line efforts when required Manage the integration of subcontractor schedules (if applicable); review for schedule quality; assess progress and provide feedback to project leadership Administer Aecon's P6 database; control access to maintain data integrity, set standards in collaboration with other sectors Establish and ensure a set cadence for the importing of back-up copies of project schedules managed in the client's P6 environment Assist in project set-up, converting bids into baseline budgets, reconciling gaps Participate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and baselines Liaise with external groups (Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Construction, etc.) to gain inputs into Project Controls reports Create & maintain project status update reports , forecast reports & project dashboards; ensure timely issuance to internal & external stakeholders (per client requirements) Create & maintain customized reports or dashboards to adapt to evolving risks & project needs Develop and maintain resource plans, ensuring cost & schedule alignment Regularly conduct variance analysis to understand trends & other baseline deviations in support of rigorous change management;
