    What is the Opportunity?
    From fabrication and modularization to new builds, turnaround and maintenance, Aecon Industrial leads the way in industrial construction and water infrastructure, providing clients in Canada and the U.S. with vertically integrated solutions and exceptional self-perform work.
    Reporting to the Quality Manager - the Civil Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and testing activities for the construction of civil infrastructure on the project.
    This role will be supporting the Red-Sein Rat Cooperative WasteWater project located in the town of Niverville, MB (20 minutes South of Winnipeg).
    Please note: This is an hourly contract position. The contract will be a minimum of 6 months in duration with potential to extend.
    What You'll Do Here:
    Performs on-site quality civil/concrete/piling inspections in accordance with project design specifications/requirements and CSA standards including: review of daily piling reports, concrete pre & Post pour inspections, concrete temperature monitoring, verify soil and compaction testing, backfill inspections and releases
    Inspects in-progress and/or completed work to ensure that it complies with the design, standards and specifications.
    Oversees the 3rd party civil/concrete testing agencies subcontracted on the project
    Assists with the implementation and maintenance of quality programs as required.
    Assists with the preparation and verification of various technical reports. including inspection and test plans, pre- and post-inspection documentation etc.
    Identifies and reports work that does not meet the quality requirements.
    Collaborates with the project team to determine approaches & methods to improve the overall quality of work.
    Completes all associated quality records and forms for individual inspection.
    Assists with the tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/ preventative action requests.
    Performs Source Inspections, In-Process Inspections and Final Inspections
    Completes all associated documentation; Quality Control reports, sign-off on drawings, create as-built drawings, etc.
    Compiles all final turnover documentation associated with the project.

    What You Bring to the Team:
    At least 2 years' experience as a quality civil/concrete inspector is required
    Driven piling experience will be a definite advantage.
    Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
    Familiar with inspection techniques related to civil/concrete construction and concrete testing.
    Exposure to industrial projects will be considered an asset.
    Computer literate in MS Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
    Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Proven organization and time management skills.
    Ability to interact with project client representatives
    Team player and driven for success.
    Local to the Winnipeg, MB area would be a definite advantage.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Field Engineer is responsible for assisting in the planning, supervision, and execution of the construction project mainly related to Marine Works and Civil Works. The John Hart project is located on Vancouver Island in Campbell River, BC.What You'll Do HereMeets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule andwithin budget.Collects, coordinates, and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
