    Under general supervision, the Fleet Mechanic work involves preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of systems and projects within the trade, and troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs of construction equipment.
    Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations are being adhered to.
    Maintain and service a fleet of trucks and trailers.
    Maintain and service a fleet of construction equipment.
    Complete service and repair sheets for maintenance records.
    Able to perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. (Bucket & digger trucks)
    Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes.
    Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced, or apprentice maintenance personnel.
    Performing hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
    Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubles.
    Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes.
    Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required.
    Valid DZ license in good standing is required.
    Class 3 License
    Truck and Coach Service License (310T) required.

  • What's the Opportunity? Aecon Concessions is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee our operations and maintenance division supporting the Gordie Howe Project in Windsor Ontario. We are seeking an operations focused leader who is excited by early-stage ventures and building teams.
    What You’ll Do Here:
    Setup & manage all the financial accounting, monthly reporting, budgeting, treasury & taxation functions.
    Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
    Prepare and submit monthly billing and manage cash flow in line with the financial model.

  • What is the Opportunity? Fraser Crossing Partners, selected by the Province of British Columbia to design, build and partially finance the project, is a 50/50 joint venture between Aecon and Acciona. The new four-lane cable-stayed bridge over the Fraser River will provide network connections to New Westminster and Surrey, feature a centre safety median barrier and wider lanes to accommodate both passenger and commercial vehicles, and have dedicated walking and cycling lanes. The project also includes the construction of connecting roadways on the north and south sides of the bridge, grade separations on Highway 17, and the removal of the existing bridge once the new bridge is complete.
    Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead Field Engineer will provide field-engineering information to the project management team and sub-trades to ensure construction works comply with all the design drawings, engineering standards, codes, and specifications. Pattullo Bridge is located in the Greater Vancouver area in Surrey and New Westminster .
    What You'll Do Here:
    Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, professional development, and support to enhance their technical skills and overall performance. Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
    Collects, coordinates, and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
    Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling. Identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment, or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
    Evaluates daily production, schedule, and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Documents daily activities in Company approved methods and technologies.
    Notifies team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommends solutions for management consideration.
    Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
    Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported. Manages cost coding with Company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
    Reviews project specifications for quality control at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes. Initiates and manages appropriate certificates, inspections, and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site.
    Works with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site. Initiates and manages any permits needed before work can begin.
    Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
    Reconciles job close-out checklist with owner representative and field crews at the end of the project.
    Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
    What You Bring to the Team:
    Post-secondary school education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines; or acceptable combination of education and previous experience.
    ~ Minimum of 4 years working as a Field Engineer or Project Coordinator, ideally in bridge construction.
    ~ Experienced in leading junior staff, with strong skills in delegation, communication, and guidance.
    ~4 years of experience with concrete, rebar, and formwork.
    ~ Experience in Bridge deck Construction in BC is a plus.
    ~ Knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.

    Manage tax process and filing requirements for employees, including preparation of secondment agreements and certificates of coverage, TEQ repayment tracking and act as the liaison between accountant and employees to manage tax returns and refunds
    Under Director’s supervision, conduct research and benchmarking and remain current on emerging legislation and best practices within the field of immigration and mobility
    Develop and enhance templates, checklists, brochures and policies for cross-border and international projects, including developing a US playbook, managing US SharePoint site and compiling and maintaining Business Traveler Policy
    Provide comprehensive relocation support for arriving and departing expats, including; housing, shipping of personal goods, setting up bank accounts, school enrollment, vehicle assignments as required
    Develop and recommend overall global mobility policies and programs for the organization, as well as specific enhancements to current policies, programs and practices
    Develop, manage and foster key relationships with vendors such as realtors, movers, tax advisors, relocation providers, etc.
    Advise employees on international and domestic moves
    Maintain crossborder policies and templates
    Post-secondary education in a field related to personnel management such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or completion of a professional development program in personnel administration or equivalent
    ~2-3 years’ experience working in immigration
    ~2-3 years’ experience working in human resources or talent acquisition
    ~Strong understanding of Canadian and/or US immigration laws
