Reporting to the Chief Detailer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects by ensuring accuracy and compliance in detailing and design.     Position : Health and Safety AdvisorLocation : Kitchener, On

    Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing and coordination of the health and safety activities for the Kitchener plant as well as our construction sites within the region. The advisor acts as an ambassador by promoting health and safety within and overseeing the development of healthy and safety policies, programs and behaviours. This position requires travel within the Kitchener area.

    Role and responsibilities:Collaborate in the development and implementation of various H&S programs, policies, procedures and activtiesCollaborate in the development of prevention programs and action plans and ensure their application;Support managers in the implementation and maintenance of various prevention programs;Conduct regular inspections of workplaces and work methods to ensure that safety rules are observed, that protective equipment is used properly and that all the necessary safety devices are in place and in good working order;Implement and maintain COR certification;Collaborate in the investigations and analyses of all accidents or dangerous or risky situations, identify trends and probable sources, identify solutions and ensure the application of the necessary corrective and preventive measures;Work with managers to develop and implement temporary assignments, accommodations and return to work plans for employees on occupational related disability leaves;Participate in risk analyses and make recommendations on safe working methods;Participate in the development of a H&S training program that meets the needs and responsibilities of employees and managers.
