The role will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of production equipment, and actively drive and monitor the training and growth of operating staff up to 10. Key Responsibilities Oversee the safe and efficient operation of boilers, pressure vessels, reciprocating compressors, and packaged refrigeration systems as per relevant codes and regulations. Work with the facility Production Manager to implement daily/weekly/monthly production plans, and establish production standards and controls that aid the Operation and Maintenance teams in ensuring safe and efficient operation of production units. Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of operations, corrective and preventative maintenance strategies, and troubleshooting to support continuous operation and improvements. Actively promote that all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety and quality plans are respected and followed. Work with all stakeholders to develop new and/or revise existing SOPs, and be responsible for rolling out and maintaining training plans. Provide training and coaching for the members of the Operations team to ensure that objectives are attained; develop technical training plans for the group concerned and ensure that they are implemented. Conduct performance reviews of the team members and give them feedback. Support the development of turnaround (TAR) shutdown and start‑up plans, and abnormal operating condition production plans to ensure product quality and throughput. Improve and promote product quality and occupational health and safety principles; actively display and encourage safe behavior, knowing and respecting all procedures provided in the ALMS (Air Liquide Management System). Required Qualifications High School Diploma required; College/university degree preferred. 7+ years of experience. Valid 3rd class operating engineer's license with the TSSA. Availability to work as required, including weekends, public holidays, nights, and being on call for emergencies. Technical and working understanding of Air Liquide's operation processes; ability to read key operating documents and troubleshoot production problems.     Install, retrofit, support Regional Service teams with/on advanced, automated cutting systems represented by Airgas including: CNC Plasma Cutting Systems; Robotic arms, cells and tooling; Advanced fixed and flexible automated cutting process equipment and power sources; PLC and CNC controllers and software related applications. The position will perform work at the branch facility and at customer sites as required.****Key Responsibilities***** Oversees and maintains Airgas Safety standards and procedures as a first step, critical component of every task and job for every team member.* Directs, supervises and completes team installations and retrofits of Airgas cutting, fixed, and flexible automation equipment* Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete necessary repairs and perform routine maintenance, tuning and customer training on all types of Airgas equipment and products sold and maintained by the Advanced Fabrication Group.* Nationwide travel with extended periods of overnight stays required* Ability to represent the Company to our customers in a professional and courteous manner.

    Completes all service orders in a neat and timely fashion and obtains customer’s signature via current Tech Software electronic ticketing system prior to leaving the facility.* Maintains company provided diagnostic equipment, tools and other equipment in clean, good working condition and within manufacturer’s recommendations.

    Calibrations and certifications on equipment are kept in date.

    Properly safeguards and secures all company issued equipment at all times.* Communicates with National Advanced Fab Manager, National Service Manager and Service Coordinator(s) on the job status, daily activities and unsafe conditions at the job site continuously in real time through Tech Software database and direct communication.

    Prior to leaving a job area, checks Tech Software for updates, emergencies and other communications.* Communicates with Service Coordinator(s), suppliers, vendors and customers on parts and other required materials.

    Monitors progress of results and deliveries and notifies Service Coordinator(s) when delays are observed or expected.* Performs and completes all work on Airgas customer equipment per Company procedures.

    Updates Tech Software database with activities and results.

    Monitors and meets scheduled appointments on Airgas customer’s equipment.

    Maintains confidentiality with customers.* Attends all assigned career development training and passes all qualifying assessments.* Required to follow any other reasonable instructions, and perform any other duties, as may be required by their supervisor.

    Performs other duties as may be assigned.

    Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions.* Reports all business expenses in a timely manner via company policies.* Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed.

    Must be able to use trade type tools and hand tools.* Must maintain an acceptable driving record within company policies.

    Maintains company provided vehicles in good operating and clean condition and delivers vehicles for all scheduled and necessary maintenance on time to appropriate facilities.* Follows Airgas safety procedures and attends monthly safety meetings.
