Profile The Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems Engineer (EWIS) coordinates all technical aspects of assigned design projects, provides technical support to the production line, and assists with resolution of in-service problems and customer requests. Familiar with advisory circular AC , , etc. Select various components, connectors, back shells, and other parts, involving researching parts catalogues, specifications and contact with vendors. Analyze existing wiring diagrams, harness data reports and routing maps, and then provide recommendations for improvements in harness design and installation. Maintain accurate records to ensure configuration control and traceability of documentation. Support the definition and management requirements for EWIS. Support the creation of certification-related documents for EWIS. Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test process and procedures. Support system development from concept design to production, resolving design, manufacturing, and assembly issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in wiring and harness design. Familiar with and understand pertinent TCCA, FAA, and EASA rules and requirements. Minimum of 5 years or 5,000 hours of CATIA V4 drafting experience is a strong attribute. Thorough understanding and experience in configuration/document control. Ability to liaise with a wide variety of people within, and outside the company.
