Position DetailsJob Title: Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) EngineerLocation: Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB (on-site role)Contract Type: Long-term contract / Permanent (depending on profile)Weekly Hours: 40 hours per weekStart Date: As soon as possible Key ResponsibilitiesAs an EWIS Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting the design, certification, and integration of electrical wiring systems. Your tasks will include:Establishing and improving quality measures for engineering documentation.Producing and coordinating conceptual layouts for modifications and new designs, ensuring efficiency and compatibility.Supporting wire harness space allocation and routing across the aircraft.Producing wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and harness data reports, ensuring compliance with EMI/HIRF/Lightning protection and EWIS separation standards.Applying knowledge of FAA/TCCA/EASA regulations and advisory circulars (AC 25.1701, 25.1711, etc.).Selecting and validating components (connectors, back shells, etc.) and working closely with vendors.Analyzing existing wiring diagrams and harness reports to recommend design and installation improvements.Ensuring accurate documentation and configuration control.Supporting certification activities and the development of manufacturing, integration, and testing processes. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 5 years' experience in wiring and harness design.In-depth knowledge of TCCA, FAA, and EASA regulations and standards.5+ years or 5,000 hours of CATIA V4 drafting experience (a strong asset).Solid understanding of configuration and document control.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
