The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Objective
Manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products and systems)
Deliver safe solutions (Projects and Programs)
Key accountabilities
Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction
Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review RAM, Cyber, V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective
Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning
Support tenders and/or RC teams to integrate product/system in projects
Build the Safety Reports and/or the Safety Cases
Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product
Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews
Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessors
Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product (Internal or external resources)
If identified as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue, manage 8D steps as per process
Key Job Authorities and Dimensions
Safety reference on the related Projects/Program for the Core team, Customer (internal or external) and assessors/SA (internal and external)

Advanced University or Engineering degree
English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation
System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge desired
Mastering Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and safety methodology & concepts/principles
10 years successful experience in safety assurance including 2 years in Railway business

Your Future Role
Directly reporting to the Finance Director at the head office, as a
Financial Controller , you will be responsible for the accuracy of financial information, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management decisions through reliable and rigorous reporting.
You will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations and producing financial statements. Acting as a business partner to operational teams, you will work closely with project controllers and industrial controllers.
With strong financial management knowledge and skills in the industrial sector, along with advisory and leadership experience supporting internal teams in the strict application of financial standards and processes, you are our ideal candidate.
This position, based at our St-Bruno site on the South Shore of Montreal, is a permanent full-time role (40 hours/week). You must be able to work within an international, multi-site, matrix organization. The work environment is hybrid, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week.
Your Main Responsibilities
Lead the monthly closing process and prepare financial statements
Analyze results, identify budget variances, and provide clear explanations to stakeholders
Produce financial analyses and support the preparation of management reports
Participate in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts
Support year-end file preparation and collaborate with external auditors
Strictly adhere to the processes, methods, and tools in place related to these activities

Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell under guidance from senior engineers
Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (writing/adjusting jobs, troubleshooting builds, managing runners)
Follow established branching strategies and help maintain repositories (merge requests, reviews, resolving basic conflicts)
Assist with provisioning and configuration management across Linux and Windows environments
Support virtualization tasks in VMware and Suse Harvester (creating VMs, templates, and images)
Automate routine tasks using Bash and/or PowerShell; create simple scripts and runbooks
Monitor environments, respond to alerts, and perform routine maintenance and patching
Participate in deployments and release activities, ensuring changes follow defined processes
Contribute to documentation (SOPs, runbooks, topology, and pipeline docs)
Research and trial new tools or approaches on small proof‑of‑concept tasks, sharing findings with the team

Hands‑on exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell, and eagerness to learn the others

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 – $115,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
