About The Role The Quality Supervisor's prime objective is to oversee the implementation of all activities related to quality control of materials at each stage of the cement manufacturing process in a safe working environment. These activities include but are not limited to the evaluation of chemical and physical properties of material, implementation of equipment maintenance and calibration plan. The Quality Supervisor ensures that the cement products meet both the internal and external quality standards and participates in the Quality audits (CCRL and ISO 9001). The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the Quality and Alternate Materials Manager and participates in cross-functional teams in the plant. What You’ll Accomplish Ensure that all quality activities and initiatives meet environmental regulatory requirements. Apply the laboratory QC procedures, ensure implementation and updating of the plant quality plan. Guarantee the accuracy and reliability of lab data. Implement the equipment maintenance and calibration plan. Implement training and certification for personnel that are assigned to the lab. Participate in the annual Lafarge Round robin testing, CCRL program and audits and ISO 9001 audits. Actively participate in daily process meetings and proactively implement actions generated from the meeting. Do a routine inspection check at the field to verify if there are potential issues that could cause non-conformity in the quality of the product. Check adherence to all quality parameters from the quarry to cement dispatch. Additional Education Preferred: Field of Study Preferred: Civil engineering, BS Chemistry. Required Work Experience: Experience in Cement Industry is preferred (strong technical knowledge on cement manufacturing). Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite). Knowledgeable on ISO 9001. Travel Requirements: 5-10%. Additional Requirements Demonstrated effectiveness working in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc). Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to perform under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant personnel. The Role As the Production Supervisor, your prime objective will be to develop and implement processes to improve Plant efficiencies and minimize costs for our Precast division.
