Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
Anthesis is seeking an expert in Supply Chain Sustainability, eager to drive impact for organizations searching for resilient supply chains, actionable strategies to improve supply chain sustainability through responsible sourcing practices, due diligence processes, and supplier engagement. Our global team works with clients across small-medium enterprises to Fortune 500 organizations - from hyperscalers and AI leaders to manufacturers and household name brands - engaging their supply chains to drive meaningful environmental and social transformation.
As a Senior or Principal consultant, you will act as a subject matter expert in the Circularity and Value Chain Transformation Business Line, supporting clients across industries to conduct gap assessments, develop due diligence policies and strategies, map value chains, quantify and mitigate supply chain risks, and design and implement strategic supplier engagement strategies, and much more. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding track record helping companies develop effective supplier engagement strategies, understand expectations from a customer-supplier perspective, and demonstrated experience with supply chain due diligence requirements – both voluntary (e.g. Sedex, EcoVadis, etc.) and regulatory (e.g. UFLPA, CSDDD, EUDR, etc.). Both consulting and in-house experience in one or more of the following sectors is preferred: technology, transportation, retail and consumer goods, healthcare or food and beverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating, designing and deploying strategies for resilient and sustainable supply chains
Developing due diligence policies and strategies
Conducting value chain mapping and supply chain risk assessments
Designing human rights and environmental risk mitigation programs
Supporting clients in leading regulatory readiness and gap assessments
Developing strategic approaches to supplier engagement as a cornerstone of supply chain decarbonization
Develop and execute Scope 3 reduction strategies, focusing on primary data collection and supplier capacity building
Project Management - Support the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple client engagements, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and of extremely high quality
Client Management - Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, helping them define and achieve ambitious, business-aligned sustainability goals, optimize value through existing and future projects, and build long-term high-impact relationships
Business Development - Contribute to business development including proposals, client pitches, and expand existing relationships through helping clients drive their sustainability agenda and identifying opportunities to integrate across service offerings to provide holistic sustainability solutions
Communication - Able to deliver clear, thoughtful and compelling communications to client and internal teams alike, translating complex sustainability topics to an array of audiences while maintaining technical rigor and accuracy
Mentorship - Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior and senior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Senior Consultant: 5+ years of experience as a supply chain sustainability practitioner, within a company's direct operations or adjacent field. Preference for experience in technology, manufacturing, or logistics.
Principal Consultant: 7+ years of experience as a supply chain sustainability practitioner, within a company's direct operations or adjacent field. Preference for experience in technology, manufacturing, or logistics.
Experience with corporate supply chains, sourcing/procurement, and/or supplier engagement/ capacity-building.
Expertise in assessing and mitigating key sustainability risks with respect to suppliers, including human rights, climate, and nature in supplier base.
Experience developing responsible, equitable and inclusive procurement practices and/or responsible sourcing.
Experience leading corporate-wide assessments that consider human rights, environmental, and climate impacts across a company's value chain.
Strong understanding of Climate/Net Zero-related concepts.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail in large datasets, and advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
A personable and passionate individual that works well with teams.
Comfortable and confident liaising with key stakeholders across all levels of a business.
A critical thinker and proactive problem-solver who takes initiative to identify and propose solutions for potential roadblocks or alternative paths forward.
An ability to manage a variety of projects at any one time.
Proficiency in English is required. German/French/Spanish is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple technology-focused sustainability projects across their lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with measurable client impact.

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field; graduate degree preferred.
8+ years of professional experience, including:
5+ years in supply chain sustainability field, technology-driven supply chain solutions, or related fields.
3+ years in a technology industry, such as semi-conductor manufacturing, hardware manufacturing, etc.
Proven experience with complex data management systems and digital platforms for sustainability reporting.
Experience in selling or implementing digital platforms for supply chain data management.
Strong understanding of Scope 3 emissions accounting, life cycle assessment (LCA), and carbon standards.
Familiarity with Category 11 (Use of Sold Products) and product-level carbon footprinting / decarbonization.
Advanced data analytics skills (Excel required; experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx preferred).
Excellent communication and client management skills, with proven ability to develop proposals and grow accounts.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global, virtual environment.
