Responsibilities: Assist the Chef in managing food services in strict compliance with ATCO Frontec Food Service Management Guides Assist the Chef in the preparation of all foods to be served at the designated time Assist the Chef in the inventory control to assure proper minimum stock Order supplies in accordance with the population of the lodge Ensure that the meals are prepared and served to the highest standard Oversee stocking of all food serving areas according to the number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste. Train and direct subordinate food service workers, ensuring compliance with company and client safety requirements. Supervise subordinate staff to ensure the highest sanitary standards are maintained in all food preparation, serving sanitation, storage areas and safety procedures in accordance with company, client, and governmental requirements. Conduct safety toolboxes as required to department Assign duties, responsibilities, and work areas to ensure efficient service Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance including kitchen logs, and daily cleaning schedules Clean kitchen, utensils and equipment. Travel: Willingness to travel across Alberta, including occasional overnight stays. A valid Class 5 (non‑GDL) driver’s license is required for site visits.
