  • Job Description Who is ATCO Frontec: ATCO Frontec is a market leader providing facilities management, camp services, workforce lodging solutions, operational support services and disaster and emergency management for a diverse range of clients. Description: ATCO Frontec is seeking a 1st Cook to join our Camp Services team at Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia. The 1st Cook is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and served to the highest standard possible. The rate for this position is $24.00 an hour. Rates may be subject to change. Responsibilities: Assist the Chef in managing food services in strict compliance with ATCO Frontec Food Service Management Guides Assist the Chef in the preparation of all foods to be served at the designated time Assist the Chef in the inventory control to assure proper minimum stock Order supplies in accordance with the population of the lodge Ensure that the meals are prepared and served to the highest standard Oversee stocking of all food serving areas according to the number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste. Train and direct subordinate food service workers, ensuring compliance with company and client safety requirements. Supervise subordinate staff to ensure the highest sanitary standards are maintained in all food preparation, serving sanitation, storage areas and safety procedures in accordance with company, client, and governmental requirements. Conduct safety toolboxes as required to department Assign duties, responsibilities, and work areas to ensure efficient service Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance including kitchen logs, and daily cleaning schedules Clean kitchen, utensils and equipment. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must have Red Seal Certification 3-4 years’ experience as 1st Cook in the hotel/restaurant industry Advanced Food Safe Certificate is Required Valid CSTS and First Aid Professional communication skills, oral, and written Ability to work with and supervise other kitchen employees Strong organization and leadership skills Ability to prioritize and multitask Work well under pressure Ability to prioritize and multitask Effectively solve problems Why join our team: We offer employee benefits, career advancement, and growth and development opportunities. Position Summary: ATCO Frontec is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Construction Project Manager to join our team at ATCO Facility Solutions. The Construction Project Manager oversees the mechanical construction projects from our Calgary office. This role combines office‑based project management with hands‑on site supervision, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Location: Calgary, Alberta (In‑office and site‑based role) Key Responsibilities Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple mechanical installation projects across Alberta. Ensure alignment of project objectives with company standards, timelines, and budget constraints. Monitor site activities to guarantee compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality control procedures. Work closely with in‑house teams, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient project execution. Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and resolve any issues that may arise. Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting. Review and authorize project expenses, invoices, and change orders, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate financial forecasts and updates. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and responsiveness. Conduct project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and client handovers. Address post‑construction support requests and warranty claims in a timely manner. Lead project teams by providing direction, support, and mentorship, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct project reviews, identifying potential risks and implementing solutions proactively. Requirements and Skills Education: P. Eng or CET designation with 3–5 years of relevant Project Management Experience (mechanical installation) OR a Journeyman Plumber/HVAC Journeyman ticket with 5–7 years of relevant experience. Must be able to estimate construction projects. Certification: PMP designation or working toward project management certification is preferred. Travel: Willingness to travel across Alberta, including occasional overnight stays. A valid Class 5 (non‑GDL) driver’s license is required for site visits. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities; proven ability to work in a team‑oriented environment. Complete pre‑qualification documents, review drawings/specifications, develop proposals, and secure purchase orders/contracts.
