We strive to foster a culture of understanding towards animal care principles and requirements that will allow our livestock to be healthy, productive, safe, and secure.The Agri-Crew is responsible for general farm work that relates to barn preparation prior to new flocks arriving. This includes cleaning and washing the barns. During the flock cycle the employee will help with bird vaccination, move birds from grow to lay barns and other farm related duties as required. Duties could include grass mowing and trimming, painting, garbage removal and other farm related chores as required. Tasks required could be either inside or outside as required; with work conditions changing during seasons Work environment will be dusty at times with strong odors. Heavy lifting may be required or removal of equipment during barn clean-out and set up.ScheduleThe work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, averaging 40 hours per week. API is a proud supporter of the poultry industry, providing feed, chicks, and fresh eggs year around to our customers throughout Atlantic Canada.SummaryThe Egg Collection Supervisor will manage a group of full-time and part-time staff on multiple farm sites. Responsibilities include selecting, orienting, training, and coaching staff, completing employee evaluations and employee discipline. They will develop work schedules, assign, and monitor work, implement new procedures, assist with budgets, track expenses, and monitor variances.The Egg Collection Supervisor will work as part of a team ensuring the company's animal husbandry practices are followed as well as promoting safe work practices of staff. The Supervisor will also be responsible for the creation and implementation of the breeder farm preventative control plan, in conjunction with the Breeder Farm Supervisor.ScheduleThis is a full-time salaried position working on average 40 hours a week.
