    Working with the Site Assessment and Remediation team you will play an important role in collecting, analyzing and reporting field data, working with Project Managers and liaising with clients on all aspects of our project work. This role is based in our Burnaby office.
    About The Role
    Working closely with Project Managers to perform activities such as: groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, air monitoring, test pitting, borehole drilling, groundwater monitoring well installation, surveying, construction environmental monitoring, data tabulation, environmental data interpretation, and coordination with field subcontractors. Responsibility for adhering to health and safety plans and quality processes on all work, project and reports Writing quick/clear/concise reports, clearly describe observations and work activities in writing, and provide regular and succinct phone or e-mail communications to senior staff, from the field.
    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering, geoscience, biology, environmental studies or similar. Minimum of 5+ year industry experience, preferably within contaminated sites Ability to be registered as a Professional (EIT, GIT, BIT or A.Ag.) is preferable Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organizational abilities and detailed oriented Comfortable working with small tools or environmental equipment (e.g., water quality meters, air monitoring equipment, etc.) Proficient with computers and various programs (Word, Excel, ESdat) A valid driver’s license Ability to work with senior staff and within project teams on various projects of differing complexity Ability to work effectively with environmental subcontractors Willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions for potentially long periods at a time Willingness to travel and work in potentially remote locations Ability and willingness to learn and hit the ground running on a wide variety of projects

    Our team in Canada is growing! We are currently recruiting for a Principal Process Engineer with expertise in uranium to join our Minerals and Metals team in the Vancouver office.
    About The Role
    Provide technical leadership across mineral processing project lifecycle with experience in studies, FEED, execution, commissioning, and optimization of uranium mining projects. This will include selecting the appropriate processing technologies, designing the process flow sheet, and determining the parameters for each stage of the process.
    Approve and deliver process design in accordance with sound design principles by adhering to design practices and specifications which meet operational, safety, environmental and functional requirements. Perform trade-off studies to optimize the process configuration to maximize the client’s financial objectives. Manage the performance of Process Engineers to produce process and design deliverables for studies and projects by monitoring and assessing progress and activities. Motivate Process Engineers towards exceptional performance through mentorship, training, and professional development. Support the success of projects through excellent communication skills and close coordination with Study Managers, Project Engineers, and Discipline Leads to deliver high quality outcomes for our clients. Provide invaluable insight to support decision making through quantification of process parameters in terms of cashflow and economic outcomes, as well as identifying and mitigating of project technical risk.
    About You
    Mineral Processing and/or Chemical Engineering degree with registration as a P. Eng. 10-20+ years’ experience with experience on uranium projects, preferably a mix of design and execution in both the engineering consulting and operational environments Experience in comminution, leaching, solvent extraction, and precipitation an asset Proven experience leading projects to success and understanding client-side decision making Experience in testwork and process design for uranium is essential; exposure to copper, gold, and/or lithium is considered an asset. Solid experience in client management and strong reputation within the industry. Has a solid appreciation of industry technology and a desire to understand and gain appreciation of emerging technologies.

About You Over 12 years of hands-on experience in mechanical layout and design drafting for mineral processing plants, ideally within large, multidisciplinary EPC or EPCM projects. Proven track record in developing plant layouts for both study and execution phases. Responsibilities Responsible for drafting and 3D modelling electrical systems for mining and industrial projects Develop models, design and drafting using advanced modeling and assembly practices within a 3D and 2D Electrical environment Ability to work as part of a team, applying skills to both new construction and renovation projects for drafting of power distribution, lighting and communication systems Provide CAD drafting services to design team Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to develop working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed construction document packages for submission Ability to create electrical design of single line diagrams, motor schematics and wiring, General Arrangement, distribution panels, grounding, lighting, and cable tray Ability to create and maintain cable schedules and material take offs Apply, maintain and enforce CAD standards Ensure proper documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities Provide on-site construction supports as required Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college 10 years’ experience of drafting electrical, controls and instrumentation deliverables in an engineering environment Experience working within an EPCM environment is preferred Experience with SmartPlant is preferred Able to work within defined schedules and deadlines Able to function well, either as part of a team or independently Strong communication, analytical and time management skills Well-developed written and oral communication skills Why Ausenco?
