    JOB SUMMARY
    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nanofabrication Scientist to lead the development, optimization, and executing nano- and micro-fabrication processes for advanced photonic and optical devices in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. The position is heavily hands-on and requires the ability to develop, optimize and follow cleanroom protocols and in-house standard operating procedures. The Senior Nanofabrication Scientist will be a primary contributor to the company’s research by development programs for new nanofabrication procedures as well as improving the previously developed processes. The nano and microfabrication team will draw on your strong expertise in the cleanroom as well as your critical thinking and obsession for documentation to develop repeatable nanofabrication processes. The position involves design and detailed execution of successive nano-fabrication processes ranging from wet-chemistry to electron beam lithography. A record of experience in different areas of nanofabrication is considered an important asset.
    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed in order to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job. Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time. Nanofabrication - Learning and developing micro- and nano-fabrication processes while operating in a Class 100 cleanroom environment, including operating and maintaining a JEOL JBX-6300 100kV EBL system.Process development – Design fabrication process steps and process flow.Conduct experiments to improve, discover, and test nano/microfabrication processes. Troubleshoot technical process challenges with innovative and pragmatic solutions to minimize delays and waste. Device and material analysis - Characterizing nanostructures and materials in and out of a cleanroom. Collecting and measuring data and developing characterization models.Maintenance - Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on laboratory tools in and out of the cleanroom.Reporting –Maintaining meticulous records, includingstandardoperating procedures (SOPs) and process flow. Delivering biweekly or monthly progress reports using SMART goals and present findings to stakeholders. Collaboration & Leadership – Mentor junior team members and collaborate with research teams to align fabrication processes with project goals. Stay updated on emerging nano-fabrication technologies and integrate best practices.Organization - Ensure all materials are filed following agreed conventions and are easily accessible.Additional skills - knowledge of photonics design and simulations using finite difference time domain (FDTD); familiar with nanoimprinting (NIL) techniques and electroforming.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.Education – Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or other related fields.Experience – 5+ years of hands-on experience in nanofabrication, including solid experience with electron beam lithographyTechnical – Wet bench and chemical processing; thin-film deposition (Thermal, e-beam, sputtering); electron beam resist and photoresist spin coating and development; electron beam and photolithography; reactive ion etching (RIE or DRIE); Nano-characterization (OM, SEM, AFM, profilometry); Cleanroom safety and hazardous materials handing protocols.Characteristics – Motivated, self-driven professional that enjoys taking a leadership role. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks/projects.Capable of communicating technical work in an easy to understand and logical way.

    JOB SUMMARY
    Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Technician/Technologist (Electrical/Electronics) plays a crucial role in the production team. This position involves operating, maintaining, and providing operational support for vacuum coating, UV casting, and other equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, such as motor controllers and PLCs, to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime. The technologist/technician will work closely with the production and engineering teams to implement process improvements and contribute to the business needs through continuous improvement initiatives.
    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time.Operate, maintain, and support vacuum coating, UV casting, and other relevant systems.Perform roll coater cleaning and preparation procedures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to scheduled cycle times.Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot electrical issues in roll coaters and other equipment, including motor controllers, wiring, and circuit breakers.Program, update, and maintain PLC systems, documenting all changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement process enhancements and automation solutions.Participate in cross-functional meetings to address production challenges and opportunities.Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, or an equivalent certification or qualification.A minimum of 2-3 years of engineering experience.Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and production documents.Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including motor controllers, PLCs, ladder logic PLC programs, electrical wiring, and circuit breakers.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic issues in an industrial setting.Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, Teams, and Outlook.AssetsKnowledge and experience with vacuum deposition processes and optical thin film manufacturing in a roll-to-roll process.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Health and Safety SDS knowledge and material handling experience.
    WORK REQUIREMENTS
    Environment:Work is performed primarily in a standard [office/warehouse/lab] environment.Employees may work under the stress of regular interdepartmental interaction and pressure to meet various deadlines.
