    Your role

    Prepare and/or review compilation, review and audit engagements, including corporate and personal tax returns, HST returns, and bookkeeping;

    Managing engagements, including keeping Partners abreast of progress;

    Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments;

    Responsible for identifying and resolving complex and routine accounting, audit and tax issues;

    Develop junior staff members by providing technical guidance and mentoring.; and

    Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client personnel, co-workers, and all levels of staff and management.

    What you bring to the table

    Canadian CPA designation;

    2-3 years post-qualification public accounting experience;

    Sound knowledge of the CICA Handbook, review procedures and tax compliance;

    Ability to provide proactive solutions to clients, partners and staff on complex assurance issues;

    Experience in managing and developing staff on engagements;

    Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;

    Proven project management and time management skills;

    Working knowledge of Caseware, Jazzit and Taxprep an asset;

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing client deadlines.

    Your role

    Working closely with partners, managers, or other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision and tax advisory engagements.

    Delivering high quality tax planning, services, and advice.

    Leading special tax engagements.

    Providing support, coaching and professional development to firm staff with respect to tax knowledge and tax matters on an ongoing basis.

    Identifying and cultivating new sales/service opportunities for clients.

    Preparing and presenting technical sessions to firm staff.

    What you bring to the table

    6 or more years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus in taxation.

    CPA designation.

    Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax program or Masters of Tax Program.

    Prior experience working on complex tax transactions.

    Excellent analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions.

    Demonstrated ability to manage people and client deliverables.

    Experience with Caseware and tax research software.

    Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.

    Proven project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.

    Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.

    Your role

    Lead, coordinate, manage and evaluate the operations of the organization’s accounting and audit functions;

    Design and implement policies, procedures, systems, and controls to support strategic goals;

    Oversee the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, audits and reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with regulatory and industry standards;

    Lead and oversee complex, high-value audit engagements, ensuring all deliverables meet professional standards (e.g. ASPE, ASNPO, etc.);

    Provide guidance on complex technical and regulatory matters to accounting and audit teams;

    Manage risk assessment, quality assurance, and compliance with both internal policies and external regulations;

    Monitor and manage the financial performance of client projects, including budgeting, billing and resource allocation to drive profitability and operational efficiency;

    Work with senior partners to plan the organization’s strategic goals and turn its vision into clear goals, policies, and actionable plans;

    Assess and improve financial reporting systems, accounting processes, and audit activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations;

    Advise senior leaders on enhancing procedures, budgets, and controls to strengthen quality, compliance, and efficiency;

    Serve as the primary liaison for key clients, shareholders, and the investment community, fostering strong, trust-based relationships;

    Understand stakeholder needs and deliver tailored audit, accounting, tax, and advisory solutions that align with their objectives;

    Represent the organization at industry events, panels, and external engagements, positioning the firm as a thought leader in financial and audit excellence;

    Stay ahead of changes in accounting and auditing standards, proactively adapting processes and advising senior leadership on implications;

    What you bring to the table

    Proficiency in written and spoken English;

    A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, economics, commerce or a related field is required;

    At least five (5) years of experience in public accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis or other financial activities are required;

    CPA designation in Ontario is required;

    Must have strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and auditing standards;

    Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications;

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
