    Requirements:
    • CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) required and in good standing
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in property accounting or a related field
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

    Accounting ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.About the OpportunityPrepare, review and/or approve journal entries for all applicable companies or lines of business, in compliance with accounting standards.SUPPORT AND COORDINATE THE MONTH-END AND YEAR-END PROCESSES TO ENSURE DEADLINES ARE MET.Provide daily guidance and oversight to a team of accountants, acting as a resource for technical accounting questions and problem-solving.Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with internal policies and accounting principles.Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and properly documented monthly, within monthly deadlines established by the Corporate Controller.Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency of transactions and reports.Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including HST and WSIB filings.Participate in special projects and support ongoing system and process improvements.Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, responding to requests and preparing documentation.Contribute to developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.CPA designation.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.Experience managing a team.Strong corporate accounting experience.Experience with SAGE is an asset.BenefitsThe successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, including:$110,000 - $130,000/year.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.CPA designation.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.Experience managing a team.Strong corporate accounting experience.Experience with SAGE is an asset.
