We offer tailored construction solutions, including planning, grading, excavating, culvert and utility installations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creating and executing project plans to meet project schedules and critical path dates
Modeling excellence in safety, and ensuring that crews deliver on the high safety standards that we expect of all employees
Meeting production targets, while ensuring we never compromise on quality
Solving all project issues and scheduling conflicts
Using your understanding of job costing and forecasting to form a basis of decision on critical project tasks
Recognizing and managing scope changes
Developing project safety plans and ensuring the project team works those plans
Leading, scheduling, and directing trades, subcontractors and other construction staff
Mentoring foremen and working closely with junior field engineers on site
Teaming with the project manager to ensure seamless project delivery to the client and identifying critical aspects of execution
Solving problems and proposing creative solutions in a fast-paced site environment under the constraint of tight construction schedules
Participating in estimates of execution hours, equipment & other resources required for civil construction projects
Meeting with new and existing clients to develop project opportunities through relationships
Participating in pre-tender site and scope evaluations with the estimators
Qualifications & Skills:
6-10 years of experience leading civil construction crews
Proven track record of successfully completing complex underground civil utility (potable water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, district heating), earthworks, road building and other infrastructure projects
Experience working with Lower Mainland BC soil conditions in all applications (peat, running sand, glacial till, etc.)
Diploma in a related field of study is an asset
Proficient knowledge of MS Office software
Compensation:
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
