  • Event Coordinator  

    - Mississauga

    Big Picture Conferences/Absolute Conferences & Events is seeking a highly organized and ambitious Event Coordinator to join our growing team.
    The successful candidate will assist in the planning and delivery of exceptional events and conferences across Canada. This is a client and customer-facing role providing exceptional customer service to attendees, clients, and vendors. Please note: you MUST live in the GTA and this is an entry level position perfect for recent graduates.
    Key ResponsibilitiesManage Registration System: Oversee the event registration process, ensuring smooth operation and user- friendly experience.Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain event website pages with accurate and current information.General Inquiries Management: Handle general inquiries, including event-related questions, in a timely and professional manner.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to event attendees, partners, and vendors.Event Invitations: Assist in the preparation and distribution of event invitations.Coordination and Project Management: Support the management team with event coordination, communications, attendee management, and vendor/partner relations.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the event team on assigned tasks and projects.General Administration: Perform general administrative duties related to accounting and other event logistics.Social media and graphic design: Manage social media posts and create graphic designs to promote events and engage with the audience.Video Editing: Manage and edit video reels for promotional content for social media, website, and other marketing assets.
    QualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma preferably in Events or related field1-2 years administrative and events experienceExceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detailStrong written and oral communication skills in English and with French being an assetAbility to work individually and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work on several projects concurrently and prioritize accordinglyFlexibility to adapt to changing event priorities and deadlinesFull proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookProficiency in usage of Canva and Adobe AcrobatFlexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends as required due to the nature of eventsMust be able to travel to downtown Toronto for events as needed

BPC owns and operates a number of hotel investment conferences across Canada and handles a numerous other events and conferences for third party clients.
