Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage integrated project controls systems, processes, and standards for all underground mining construction projects worldwide. Lead the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress tracking in collaboration with project teams. Monitor and report on project performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Oversee the development and management of Work Breakdown Structures, cost control, and change management processes. Establish and maintain risk management processes to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across all disciplines and regions. Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and analysis for senior leadership and stakeholders. Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Support contract administration, claims analysis, and dispute resolution as required. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (PMP, CCP, or equivalent) is an asset. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project controls management, with at least 5 years in underground mining construction or a comparable heavy industrial environment. Proven track record of managing project controls for large, complex, and multi-location capital projects. Demonstrated expertise in cost control, scheduling (ie/ Primavera P6/MS Project), earned value management, and risk management tools and methodologies. Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and remote/global environment. Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
