    The OpportunityReporting to the Senior Application Designer, the Production Designer (6 month contractor) is responsible for the preparation of artwork, renderings and design documentation. The Production Designer has a comprehensive understanding of creative development and production processes to ensure design intent is preserved throughout the project. This knowledge includes but is not limited to design ideation processes, batch artwork production, commonplace final file output requirements, and digital file requirements for production.

    ResponsibilitiesCreate original artwork files in Adobe Illustrator for signage, fleet, and other physical assetsCollaborate with design lead to ensure design intent is accurately producedReview files for quality, accuracy, and precision before deliverySupport design lead in creating sample and prototype documentationSupport design lead in translate design intent into technical specifications for RFPCreate detailed, to-scale design documents and understand shop drawingsSupport review of shop drawings for specification and design element accuracySupport review of recommendation books for brand applicationPrepare artwork and layout for designs as directed by design leadCreate 2D and/or 3D renderings to visualize designsExecute and deliver solutions with quality in a timely mannerWork with studio team members to set and maintain project schedules and proactively make changes where neededSupport design intent by gathering production information and collaborate with studio team membersInteract with clients and external stakeholders in a professional manner

    Qualifications and experience2-4 years as production designerExperience in environmental and/or wayfinding preferredProficiency in Mac OS & Microsoft suite toolsIntermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, IllustratorExperience creating photo renderings and production artwork that includes CAD tool dimensionsExceptional attention to detailTime management and organization skills required to meet deadlinesComfortable working on and prioritizing multiple projectsExperience with prototyping and manufacturingExperience with material and structural selectionEnthusiastic to be in productionExperience working with both internal and external stakeholders an assetCompetency in 3D rendering software (e.g. SketchUp, CAD, Adobe Dimensions, Keyshot, Rhino or Revit) is an assetExperience in industrial or experience design is an assetExperience with cloud-based file management systems and collaborative workflowsProficient in leveraging AI tools to streamline and optimizeworkflows is preferred
