Recommend corrective action if required.\nCompletion of quality investigations (may include in-situ testing, inspection of concrete surfaces, collection, and analysis of data).\nAssist with the creation of new concrete products or manage existing mix designs.\nKnowledge of concrete mix design and related considerations, including additives and fit for purpose design considerations.\nPreparation and execution of batch trials.\nRegular commute to customers’ sites.\nA valid Alberta Driver’s License with at least 3 years of driving experience is required.\nSaturday work may be required based on customers’ demand.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nCertified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation in materials or civil engineering is preferred.\nPrevious concrete testing experience.\nKnowledge of CSA 23.2-14 field testing procedures.\nCCIL/ACI certification for concrete testing is considered an asset.\nAbility to work in a team atmosphere.\nBe highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.\nMust have excellent communication and organizational skills.\n\n \nIMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing.
