ResponsibilitiesPreparing correspondence and documents related to the acceptance/rejection of deliverablesPreparing statements of work and item descriptions for inclusion into requests for proposalsProviding feedback and/or data clarification to the project management authorityConducting evaluations of ILS bid proposals and provide feedback and recommendations to theproject management authorityWorking with engineering and procurement to ensure ILS efforts are integrated with other program activitiesPlanning and implementing logistic support elements which includes: maintenance tasks, spares, training, technical publications, translation and facilitiesPreparing and presenting to business units and operational divisions which cover issues of maintenance and supply supportSupporting to the Records Control Office (RCO) with the creation of Material Identification Requests (MIR)Conducting detailed searches using available cataloguing systems, eliminate duplication in thedepartmental systems of record, and provide technical data for appropriate cataloguing requestsProvide material identification advice to Life Cycle Maintenance Managers (LCMM) regarding any cataloguing requestsAmend stock codes in both Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN) and the JSIS Defence Resources Management Information System (DRMIS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsCommunicate with the stakeholders to inform of newly assigned stock codes

ResponsibilitiesMaintain laboratory facilities, including general housekeeping and storage of test articles, cleanliness of equipment work areas, maintenance and minor repair of test equipment, identifying repair needs and contracted support requirementsConduct laboratory test and evaluation activities such as uniaxial testing (Instron and MTS load frames), hardness and microhardness testing, heat treatment of metals, Charpy and drop tower impact testing, and microscopy/microstructure analysis for metals and non-metalsPrepare metallographic samples for analysis by sectioning/cutting large samples, mounting them in suitable compounds, polishing according to standard practices, and etching as needed for microstructural analysisRecord and report data from testing activitiesManage calibration requirements for laboratory test equipmentParticipate in planning meetings related to testing and evaluation activitiesAssist with the preparation of test reports and the drafting of test proceduresManage sample/specimen intake and tracking throughout the testing and reporting phasesAssist with laboratory configuration, including relocating laboratory furniture and test equipmentPrepare and maintain inventories of test equipment and hazardous materialsMaintain the specifications and standards libraryAssist with cataloguing new equipment and products
