Position Summary
The Planner is responsible for working with the dispatch team and third party carriers to effectively implement transportation services to customers and to ensure that all activities are accurately recorded in the company's transportation management system. Your duties include creating and managing transportation schedules, assigning routes to third party carriers, and ensuring timely deliveries while maximizing resource utilization.
Location: Bolton, Ontario
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 40 hours
What you will do
- Plan and Schedule loads efficiently, resulting in successful on-time metrics for our customers
- Communicate and monitor with third party carriers to ensure that appointment delivery times are met, and special driver requirements are being adhered to
- Ensuring that all work is accurately entered and managed in the system in a timely manner, from; order entry, to planning, to activating, progressing and closing loads
- Complete customer reporting and tracking spreadsheets as required
- Analyze data and contribute to continual improvement in the department
- Assisting Dispatchers and third party carriers in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues and activities

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Terminal Manager is fully accountable to the P&L and overall operational performance of the Bolton Terminal by providing world class service to our customers through our dedicated business model. This role is a customer facing position that is responsible for rate negotiations, contract renewals and actively participates along our sales team in the sales cycle, continually striving for top notch service. As the leader of this terminal, the Terminal Manager is also responsible for leading and developing a high performing team including managers, dispatchers and support staff.

Schedule: Full time Monday to Friday and on call as required
What you will doEffectively lead and develop a team of direct and indirect reportsResponsible for the full operations and maintenance of the terminal, maintaining full compliance with safety and operational standards.Implement and maintain operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.Execute operating plans and tactics to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.Evaluate and optimize current and proposed operational systems and procedures to gain efficiencies and to minimize risk.Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Monitor financial and operational metrics to measure achievement of organizational objectives.Support the maintenance and safety teams to increase productivity, ensure compliance, and reduce lost time.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Terminal Manager is fully accountable to the P&L and overall operational performance of the Bolton Terminal by providing world class service to our customers through our dedicated business model. This role is a customer facing position that is responsible for rate negotiations, contract renewals and actively participates along our sales team in the sales cycle, continually striving for top notch service.
