    Key Accountabilities

    - Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment - Preform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures - Follow company policies (performance, safety, etc.) - Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. - Perform administrative tasks including completing permits, parts ordering, and work order completion. - Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations - Maintaining a safe and clean work environment - Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    - Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada - Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old - Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) - Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification - Ability to perform physical job duties which include lifting up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and kneeling. - Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and P&IDs - Familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware: Drives, PLCs, HMIs - Solid understanding of industrial control systems and automation principles. - Must have own transportation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Previous experience in a plant or production environment (manufacturing, processing or similar) - Basic commercial construction experience (conduit installation, panel wiring, lighting) - Familiarity with networking basics (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet) - Basic computer skills - Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration - Ability to work different shifts and overtime if required.

    Principal Accountabilities

    - Performs skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or modify complex industrial equipment, processes and/or systems - Diagnose cause of malfunctions or equipment failures - Performs preventative and corrective electrical maintenance - Assists in the installation, calibration and start-up of new equipment - Works with minimal to no supervision and monitors quality of own work - Performs daily tasks by applying skills and knowledge of one or more products, processes, areas or machines.     - Health & Safety: Enforces a culture of zero fatality, injury and illness

    - Environmental: Understands and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses

    - Food Safety: Directly monitors risks associated with products. Ensures HACCP/FDA requirements are met in all food and feed processes. Understands food safety fundamentals and completes safety inspections and housekeeping audits

    - Operates motorized vehicles with components used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and amongst destinations (warehouses, storage yards, plant factories, railroad stations, offices, etc.)

    - Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Required Qualifications

    - Must be 18 years of age or older - Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada - Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) - Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Basic use of a computer and typing skills - Ability to to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) - Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice - Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trades or Red Seal certification

    Preferred Qualifications
