This is an on-site position working out of our Edmonton office.
What you Will do
Main focus for first 6 months+ will be on our ERP Product.
Meet with clients following the sale of our solutions to collect information required to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule to ensure we provide quick time to value.
Working with our team to deliver on a project plan for each client, detailing the tasks that need to be completed for the timely installation of their solution.
Communicating with clients throughout the solution implementation process to obtain feedback and approval.
Learn, configure, and install software systems and all necessary components.
Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure we are creating “raving fans”.
Ensuring that the project team is aware of key deliverables and project milestones.
Requirements
What you Will Need to Succeed
Previous Accounting or Municipal Finance experience is a strong asset.
Proven experience working as an Implementation Specialist.
Sound technical knowledge.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and SQL database management systems.
The ability to multitask effectively.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Detail‑oriented.
Municipal experience is an asset.

The Opportunity
The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) is a client-facing delivery leader responsible for guiding customers through requirements definition, workflow design, testing, training, and adoption for complex SaaS implementations. This role works closely within a cross-functional delivery team—including Project Management, Product, Engineering, and Support—to ensure solutions are delivered within contractual scope, aligned to Catalis product standards, and positioned for successful client adoption and go-live.
The SBA operates independently while collaborating closely with the delivery team, leads client discussions, anticipates risks, and provides clear direction to keep projects on track while maintaining strong client relationships.
This is an onsite position working out of our Edmonton office. This position is expected to work East Coast hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST).
What You Will Do
Client Partnership & Delivery Execution
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders and end users.
Lead discovery sessions to understand current-state processes, business needs, and desired outcomes.
Guide clients on how Catalis product capabilities and standard workflows meet their needs, including where business process changes are required.
Reinforce scope, timelines, and contractual commitments to manage stakeholder expectations.
Provide regular, accurate progress updates to the Project Manager and proactively identify and elevate risks or challenges.
Ensure complete and accurate daily time entry, recognizing the impact on project reporting and revenue.
Work collaboratively within the project delivery team to support shared goals and successful outcomes.
Business Analysis & Solution Design
Define, document, and validate business requirements, workflows, and process improvements aligned with Catalis product best practices and the Statement of Work.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
Document current-state and future-state workflows, data flows, and process impacts in a clear, client-consumable format.
Identify opportunities to streamline client processes while remaining within scope and product standards.
Support adoption of Catalis standard system terminology and workflows within client organizations.
Collaborate with Product Management by submitting structured customer feedback and enhancement requests.
Leverage experience with system integrations and APIs to support requirements definition and solution discussions, as applicable.
Testing, Training & Adoption Support
Lead client readiness activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Train-the-Trainer efforts in alignment with project milestones.
Define testing and training approaches, expectations, and success criteria in partnership with the Project Manager.
Develop and review UAT scenarios to ensure coverage of critical end-to-end business workflows.
Prepare clients for testing and training by confirming readiness, roles, and responsibilities.
Facilitate testing and training sessions, providing clarification on system behavior, workflows, and expected outcomes.
Triage and document issues, clearly distinguishing defects, configuration gaps, enhancement requests, and out-of-scope items.
Partner with internal teams to support issue resolution and confirm readiness for go-live.
Develop and tailor training materials, job aids, and workflow documentation based on the client’s configured solution.
Coach client-designated trainers on system usage, process changes, and common end-user questions.
Validate client readiness to independently support end users post-go-live.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Project Managers to manage delivery risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure solutions align with client needs and contractual obligations.
Support data conversion activities, including data mapping and validation, as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis, testing, and training practices within the team.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, SaaS implementations, or enterprise system delivery.
Proven experience leading client discovery, workflow design, testing, and training activities.
Strong understanding of SaaS delivery models and implementation lifecycles.
Excellent documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to balance client needs with product standards, scope, and contractual commitments.
Comfortable operating independently while working as part of a collaborative delivery team.
Ability to work East Coast hours.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with government or regulated environments.
Familiarity with case management systems or similar enterprise platforms.
Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, Visio, or similar tools.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent).
