  • Branch Manager - Edmonton

    We are looking to hire a

    Branch Manager

    for our

    Edmonton

    branch to oversee full cycle operations on-site. This role is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of CDN Control ULC’s Edmonton branch. This role provides operational oversight across field execution, financial performance, customer relationships, and team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Conduct all aspects of people management and development of direct reports.

    Plan, direct, and coordinate field staff schedules to optimize resources, and operational efficiency.

    Build and maintain strong customer relationships and address service or project concerns in a timely manner.

    Network within your region to identify new business opportunities and communicate leads to the Sales team.

    Partner with the CFO and Director of Operations to develop and manage branch and project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.

    Monitor branch performance, including costs, productivity, scheduling, and project profitability.

    Support the Estimating team by providing operational input and developing project budgets based on scope and estimates.

    Review daily job tickets and manage work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion of field activities.

    Collaborate with the internal teams on invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and participate in weekly WIP and AR/AP meetings.

    Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, build relationships with field teams, and ensure project targets, quality, and timelines are achieved.

    Promote and model company culture, values, and a strong safety mindset; lead monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with CDN’s Health & Safety standards.

    Identify operational improvements and growth opportunities, coordinate staffing with other branches, and research new products, technologies, and best practices.

    All other duties as assigned.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Advanced technical knowledge and expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation.

    Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support high-performing teams.

    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, clients, and leadership.

    Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple competing deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.

    Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to building and maintaining positive client relationships.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Related University degree, college diploma, and/or trade certification and typically 10 or more years of related experience; or combination of formal education and experience.

    Typically, 3 or more years of people leadership experience.

    Must hold all valid safety tickets required under CDN’s HSE program.
