    Working with the Director of IT Business Partners, the Manager, IT Business Partner is responsible to lead the alignment between Celestica’s R&D Engineering teams with global IT capabilities. This role is a critical driver of business efficiency, growth, and innovation, requiring a strong advisor who can translate business vision into a technology roadmap and manage high‑impact projects from ideation to delivery. The IT Business Partner supporting HPS needs to understand a variety of areas, from IT infrastructure for network designs, to engineering processes to help assess engineering applications, and how AI can be leveraged by Engineering teams.

    Detailed Description:

    Able to facilitate and run a detailed requirements gathering workshop with the appropriate business subject matter experts, leverage Design Thinking or other workshop methodologies, in conjunction with business analysis documentation templates.

    Build close relationships with the functional areas the role is responsible for to understand what IT capabilities they need to innovate, grow, improve efficiencies, or address compliance requirements. Facilitate and function as a liaison between business units and IT’s development team to design and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.

    Be accountable for the completion of key project activities in collaboration with the IT Project Management Office, internal IT teams and vendors. Able to negotiate with teams, and elevate as required, when project roadblocks are encountered, and project management practices are not being followed. Ensure that applicable project management practices are followed throughout project lifecycles.

    Research current technology and its function within the enterprise and apply specialized technical knowledge to improve business processes. Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems.

    Conduct feasibility studies and perform cost‑benefit analysis to determine viable solutions for process improvement needs. Analyze and evaluate present and proposed business procedures or problems to define needs for improved processes/systems; prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams of improved processes.

    Qualify and help prioritize requirements when there might be constraints around the availability of IT execution resources or budget to enable the process change.

    Participate on hardware and software evaluations related to a proposed solution for the process change and prepare readouts to the business team around the proposed solution.

    Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers.

    Demonstrated strength in business analysis – requirements solicitation, documentation and playback.

    Experience in defining requirements and activities for application development as evidenced by previous work‑related experience, preferably in a production/manufacturing environment.

    Experience in performing objective analysis and re‑engineering of business processes to maximize quality service and cost‑effectiveness.

    Demonstrated awareness of Engineering R&D processes and tools to be conversant in the ‘language of the business’ in order to successfully translate business requirements to technical IT requirements.

    Understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, Information Security tools for the protection of end‑points and intellectual property).

    Demonstrated strength in project management and planning.

    Proactive approach to problems and issues.

    Skill in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making.

    Understanding of Electronics Manufacturing and Operations (operation terms and concepts), Production planning, Logistics and operational processes.

    Understanding of functional areas such as finance, supply chain and quality.

    Understanding of standard application development design process, and project management tools.

    Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
