  • Electrical Engineer - HV Underground and Submarine Cables We are looking for an Electrical Engineer specializing in high and extra-high voltage underground and submarine cables to join our Energy and Resources team. The role involves the specification, design, installation, and maintenance of HV and EHV cables, typically operating at 69 kV and above. This position is part of our Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team with opportunities for guidance and professional development. We offer a flexible hybrid work model. This position can be based anywhere in Quebec, preferably in the metropolitan areas of Montreal, Quebec City, or Sherbrooke. Responsibilities Technical Calculations: Perform technical calculations for HV/EHV cable selection, including sizing, rated power, electromagnetic field (EMF) calculations, sheath-induced voltage calculations, and more. Design and Specification of HV Cables: Develop specifications and detailed designs for HV/EHV cable systems, including cable layout specifications, testing protocols, and technical documentation. Technical Support: Provide expertise on all aspects of HV cable engineering and design, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE. Project Coordination: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure accurate interfaces and attend meetings with clients and subcontractors.
