The perfect candidate needs to be a dependable, team player with a great attitude, and be flexible with our fast turnarounds. They will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Producer in achieving the highest creative and technical standards of work. Main Duties The Compositor, Sr. will be responsible for challenging shots. They will seamlessly integrate the various layers or elements of a live-action shot. They will have a strong ability to tackle shots from start to finish, including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and creation of elements, etc. Other duties include: Matte extractions from blue/green screen photography. Good attention to detail, sense of color, colorspace, and lighting. Composite Multi-Pass CG Elements to create photo-real shots. Clean and efficient script organization. Communicate progress of work to Coordinator and Producer in a timely fashion. What You Bring The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience working as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX. They must be experienced in tracking and blue/green screens comps. They will bring senior level proficiency in Nuke, Photoshop. They will bring knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects is a plus. They will also bring the following: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under high pressure with short deadlines. Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet deadlines. Experience working with Shotgun software preferred.     POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Compositor role requires creativity and high technical abilities. They will take direction from the VFX and Compositing Supervisors and will also be expected to work autonomously in a fast paced environment to deliver an extremely high level of work.
    The Compositor is often given the most complex and demanding shots to complete. They are expected to be comp generalists who can handle a wide range of comp tasks from start to finish including but not limited to compositing live action and CG, blue/green screen keying, camera tracking, photoreal CG integration, set extensions with matte painting projections, complicated removals, beauty work, and paint/rotoscoping.
    MAIN DUTIES:
    The VFX Compositor will take instruction and direction from Leads and VFX Supervisors to execute assigned shots in the most efficient and fastest way possible. They are responsible for balancing the creative and technical aspects of each shot, and meeting task schedules and show deadlines. They are also responsible for the following: Have an excellent understanding of the broader VFX pipeline including color space, workflow and industry-standard script layouts. Ongoing communication with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines. Taking responsibility for own workload, time management and notes/feedback actions required by Supervisors.
    WHAT YOU BRING:
    The ideal candidate will bring advanced ability in all aspects of compositing in Nuke, integrating 2D, 3D and live-action elements to a high-end visual effects standard, and be a team player with a great attitude. They must be an independent problem solver, have clean and efficient script organization, be dependable and flexible, and must be able to take feedback and direction well with ability to understand and apply notes.
