Location: Calgary, Alberta Position Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manger as a key member of our manufacturing facility, the EHS Coordinator will be responsible for managing, and coordinating all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities in the Plant to proactively drive programs and create a culture to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of our employees. In addition, this position will work closely with the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety department to understand the true value of Safety in Crown Americas and achieve a World class level of Safety at the facility. Duties and Responsibilities: This position's responsibilities will also include but not be limited to the following: Safety Programs & Training: Maintain and regularly update internal safety programs. Provide training monthly and as needed to ensure compliance and reinforce a strong safety culture to all staff. Develop and Implement S.I.F. Mitigation Program: Create and execute a comprehensive Severe Injury and Fatality prevention strategy to reduce high-risk incidents and enhance workplace safety. Compliance Training Leadership: Ensure all leadership achieve required certification and training as required, reinforcing regulatory and corporate standards. Human & Operational Performance Training: Deliver and promote awareness programs focused on Human and Operational Performance principles to drive continuous improvement and safety culture. Lead Safety Initiatives: Drive the implementation of the Safe Start & internal programs, emphasizing Human Factors to enhance safety culture across the plant. Incident Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive root cause investigations for all incidents, near-miss events, and identified hazards to promote a safe work environment. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all findings and corrective actions. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with provincial, federal, local, and corporate environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and standards. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping to support audits and continuous improvement. Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented and maintained in regard to regulatory requirements Audit Follow-Up & Corrective Actions: Track and ensure timely completion of internal audits and corrective actions resulting from them and corporate audits. Regulatory Program Management: Oversee compliance for hazardous waste, air quality, and water programs. Environmental Stewardship: Drive pollution prevention initiatives and implement waste minimization strategies. Hazard Communication & Training: Ensure effective communication of workplace hazards and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Noise Exposure: Manage noise exposure programs, including audiometric testing. Control of Hazardous Energy: Maintain comprehensive hazardous energy control programs (Lockout/Tagout) to protect employees during equipment servicing and maintenance. Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Install, maintain and dismantle machines, conveying equipment and mechanical equipment. Maintain and off load equipment, piping, plumbing and ventilating systems, building, docks and grounds. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Machine tools, shop tools, various hand tools and measuring devices, electric welder, welding and cutting torches, sheet metal tools, pipe wrenches, pipe threading equipment. MATERIALS: Wood, steel, cement and other materials and hardware necessary to accomplish repairs, paints, pipe, fittings, valves and sheet metal, janitorial supplies etc. Duties: Install and/ or change the layout of machines and mechanical equipment in the plant.     Prescription Safety Glasses Program 1) Performs all of the functions of the electrician 2) Receives and analyzes all types of electronic circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics and drawings as required, to inspect, install, repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, overhaul,  modify or service all types of electronic devices and systems, including all component parts of communication systems, various production equipment, electronic computing and control systems, power and distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, indicating devices and gauges, entry into programmable control systems. 3) Plans details of working procedure for such equipment to determine material or replacement needs and selects a logical approach to “trouble shooting” and repair problems. 4) Makes sketches of parts and layouts; designs and constructs adaptations or conversion of component parts. 5) Disassembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs or replaces faulty parts and wiring and reassembles all types of electronic devices.  Makes mechanical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electronic equipment. 6) Inspects, tests and adjusts electronic equipment for safe and proper operation. 7) Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electronic and electrical principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of equipment. 8) Preparation of ladder diagrams for programmable control systems, e.g. Allan Bradley’s, modicons, texas instruments, digital equipment corp. etc. 9) Records of existing electrical drawings or makes separate sketches of any modifications or additions to electrical circuits made by himself during the performance of his duties and notifies immediately his supervisor of any such changes or additions. Seeks permission from his supervisor prior to any temporary passing of safety controls or other parts of circuits when risk to personnel or equipment is involved. 10) Is responsible for returning electrical drawings to their assigned location in the appropriate active file and for keeping such file neat and in order 11)  Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors and  positions sensing devices. 12) Maintain and troubleshoot pressco camera systems. 13) Maintain and update records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.  Use computer to store  and retrieve records/information. 14) Makes daily entries into the shop log book. 15) Reports to his supervisor of any signs of potential unsafe conditions or down time due to electrical equipment deterioration or to the tampering or misuse by unauthorized personnel. 16) Secures by lock or seal, as applicable, of designated electrical cabinets. 17) Advises production supervisor immediately upon completion of the job that operation of equipment can resume. 18) Starts up, monitors operation, reports malfunction and shuts down all apparatus room  equipment when so licensed. 19) Starts up and shuts down gas-fired ovens when so requested. 20) Keep assigned area clean and hazard free. 21) Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times.  Follow safe working procedures and safety rules. Position Overview: The Plant Superintendent will supervise, direct and coordinate personnel activities concerned with production.  This would involve but not be limited to management of product technology, production methods and procedures, standards, and machine and equipment capabilities.  Duties And Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Superintendent responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:   Directly supports the plant manager in all aspects of daily plant operations.   Assume all duties and responsibilities of the acting plant manager when needed. Verify and implement new tools/methods at regional and local levels; ensure sustainability of improvements. Support corporate entities in digitalization, IoT, and machine data projects to advance manufacturing excellence. Training & Collaboration Provide practical CI training for plant teams and mentor CI Champions. Create a repository for CI/Lean/Safety tools and enable broad access to learning resources. Promote high-class operational standards and preventive measures across operations. Projects & Initiatives Lead CI and Lean Supply Chain projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals. Encourage and sustain deployment of Lean Supply Chain Management practices in all core processes.     Qualifications & Experience Education: BS in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). Experience: Minimum 5 years supervisory or project management experience. Strong background in manufacturing, CI, and Lean management.
