The Firewall Operations Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the firewall team during their assigned shift. This role ensures the security and integrity of the organization's network by maintaining and optimizing firewall configurations, responding to security incidents, and leading a team of engineers. The Shift Lead plays a critical role in maintaining a robust cybersecurity posture and ensuring compliance with industry standards. In this interesting and diverse role, you will: Lead and manage a team of firewall engineers during the assigned shift. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members. Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other IT departments. Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of firewall systems. Ensure firewall rules and policies are up-to-date and aligned with security best practices. Conduct regular audits and reviews of firewall configurations to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Lead the response to security incidents and breaches, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Coordinate with other IT and security teams to investigate and remediate incidents. Document incidents and create post-incident reports with recommendations for improvements. Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency of firewall operations. Monitor network traffic and firewall performance, identifying and addressing potential issues. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Stay updated with the latest firewall technologies, threat landscapes, and security best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance security and efficiency. Participate in training and development programs to maintain and enhance technical skills. Prepare and present regular reports on firewall operations, incidents, and performance metrics. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and procedures. Ensure proper documentation of all changes and incidents in accordance with organizational policies. Minimum 5 to 10 years of hands on experience utilizing Checkpoint and Palo Alto in Firewall Operations. Expert level knowledge of Check Point firewalls including additional blades. Knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls. Knowledge of LAN/WAN and network protocols. Knowledge of monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues. Advanced level skill in firewall policy management.Ability to manage support cases with external technology vendors.     The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.     You are someone with:

    The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
