    Key ResponsibilitiesPerform nesting and manage digital case flow

    Operate and maintain 3D printers

    Oversee printed models and appliances, including post-processing

    Perform scanning as needed

    Position Overview

    A well-established, full-service dental laboratory in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Senior Dental Ceramist to join its growing team.

    This role is ideal for a ceramist with a strong artistic eye, refined technical skills, and proven experience handling complex full mouth and full arch restorative cases. The position focuses on delivering highly aesthetic, functional ceramic restorations in a quality-driven environment.

    The Senior Ceramist will play a key role in producing premium results while collaborating closely with technicians, designers, and clinical partners to ensure exceptional outcomes.

    Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate high-quality ceramic restorations including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported prosthetics

    Manage and execute full mouth and full arch cases with strong esthetic outcomes

    Apply advanced ceramic layering techniques for natural morphology and lifelike aesthetics

    Perform contouring, staining, and glazing to meet functional and cosmetic standards

    Evaluate cases for fit, occlusion, shade accuracy, and overall quality before final delivery

    Maintain consistency in shade matching, surface texture, and anatomical detail

    Collaborate with digital designers and technicians to ensure accurate case execution

    Adhere to established quality control and turnaround standards

    Skills & QualificationsDiploma or certification in Dental Technology (or equivalent hands-on experience)

    3+ years of experience as a Dental Ceramist (senior-level experience preferred)

    Strong expertise in ceramic layering, staining, glazing, and finishing

    Experience working with zirconia, lithium disilicate, and porcelain restorations

    Demonstrated experience handling full mouth rehabilitation cases

    Excellent eye for esthetics, color harmony, and natural tooth anatomy

    Ability to work independently within a collaborative team setting

    Familiarity with digital workflows and CAD/CAM systems is an asset

    Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

    Key Responsibilities:Fabricate partial and full dentures (metal and non-metal).Construct and process implant-supported prostheses (experience preferred but not required).Perform denture setup, tooth arrangement, waxing, finishing, and processing.Conduct relines, repairs, occlusal rims, and custom tray work.Maintain accurate documentation including forms, logs, and reports.Participate in cross-training across different lab functions.Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment to meet deadlines and quality standards.
    Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in removable prosthetics within a dental laboratory.Certification as a Registered Dental Technician (RDT) or equivalent is an asset.Licensed Denturist is a plus but not required.Experience with CAD/CAM design is an advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English (written and verbal).Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.Same-day denture experience is an asset.
