Reporting to DRA’s Document Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining all project documentation (internal and external) in accordance with specific project requirements. This role ensures the accuracy, quality, and integrity of documents, facilitating effective communication and compliance with industry standards, company and project policies and procedures. We are seeking a
Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer
based out of our Montreal or Toronto Office, working in a hybrid schedule.
This position is responsible for the engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM and EPC projects.
Main functions include (but not limited to):
Design Engineering (directly or managed) for Mechanical, BMH and Piping disciplines.
Provide the necessary documentation for SMPP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Platework) enquiries and manage the resulting installation contract.
Procure Mechanical Packages (incl. BMH and Piping) Packages.
Provide Engineering and Technical Support to the Office and Site Teams.
Documentation and handover – ensure that all Vendor Information is Certified and that the latest Information is used for Enquiry and Construction.
Carries out innovative detailed designs as required for specific disciplines following good engineering practices.
Designs conveyor and piping systems in area of responsibility (checked by relevant BMH or piping technical lead).
Ensures that discipline designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation.
Ensures certified design information received from vendors, contractors and consultants is accurate and interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
Ensures the effective peer review and approval of discipline design.
Ensures continuous improvement, lessons learnt, value engineering, fit for purpose and latest technologies are implemented.
Responsible for the engineering discipline sign off for area of responsibility.
Interfaces with internal and external design and drafting disciplines.
Provides discipline inputs for studies and proposals
Provides engineering support to the site team
Operational Management
Provides input into all SHE matters, actively participates, and promotes a total safety culture.
Ensures compliance with relevant project procedures.
Ensures that fabrication, manufacturing, and construction drawings are issued according to the project program
Manages the time schedule, cost, quality, risk and scope of assigned procurement packages.
Ensures assigned packages are installed / constructed in accordance with the project & vendor specifications
Manages, inspects and releases the relevant items of procurement, fabrication and construction within area of discipline and responsibility

Assists with the commissioning of the assigned packages in accordance with the project & vendor specifications

12 years of experience within a multi-disciplinary EPCM, with Mining & Minerals project exposure
Capital project experience in mining is preferred
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Registered Engineer, such as OIQ or P.Eng

Reporting to DRA America’s Infrastructure & Civil Engineering HOD, the
Civil Project Engineer
will be responsible for Civil engineering, project discipline design activities and co-ordination. Responsible for the design and construction of civil engineering works, structures and buildings and for the preparation of drawings and specifications for such works. The Civil Project Engineer can also act as the contractual manager of all civil contracts on site.

Assures the client and project manager that the design, construction, testing and commissioning of a Civil and structural installation, under his/her charge, complies with all safety and statutory requirements.
Acts within the framework of civil and structural contracts under his/her management.
Manages high level of risks within projects relating to engineering processes, systems, equipment and infrastructure.
Prepare engineering proposals estimates and budgets for civil, concrete and structural works
Oversee the design of civil works (excavation, embankments, roads, culverts, buried services, structural concrete foundations work, structure works (buildings and equipment support)
Producing and signing off of drawings for construction
Drafting scope of work documentation for civil and structural concrete work
Dealings with municipalities, agencies, contractors, and owners
Reviewing civil and structural drawings, advising on aspects of design and constructability.
Involvement with all procurement of civil and structural requirements and site contracts.
Review and advise on on-site construction and solving all technical problems.
Regular inspections and follow-up with civil and structural personnel on site.
Compile civil and structural sections of reports.
Provide civil and structural input for various phases of studies.
Reviews civil drawings and advises on aspects of design and constructability.
Reviews and advises on on-site construction and assists in solving all technical problems.
Initial establishment of civil and structural personnel on site and Commissioning of civil work.
Conducts regular inspections and follows-up with civil and structural personnel on site.

Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a similar role within the multi-disciplinary EPCM environment.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
3D design of infrastructure in mining and plant operations.

About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Designer - ECI to support our Toronto or Montreal multi-discipline engineering and project design activities across concept studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages, EPCM projects, and EPC project execution.
This role focuses on producing precise, fit-for-purpose EC&I drawings and 3D models, supporting engineers with technical documentation, and ensuring drawing deliverables meet project quality, schedule, and system requirements.
This role supports multi-discipline design teams by preparing high-quality EC&I drawings and ensuring documentation is delivered in alignment with DRA procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
Prepare and modify drawings to meet client, engineering, and project requirements.
Create drawings including Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangements, Schematics, Block Plans, Layouts, Cable Racking and Routing, Block Diagrams, Connection Diagrams, Hook-Up Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and symbol libraries.
Work proficiently with relevant software such as AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Vault.
Apply drawing office standards, workflows, and quality procedures consistently.
Manage drawing properties and documentation workflows within Vault.
Time Management
Manage drawing production within assigned man-hour budgets.
Deliver drawings in a cost-effective, efficient manner.
Ensure deliverables meet project schedule commitments.
Report any anticipated or actual drawing budget overruns.
Quality Management
Ensure all drawings meet DRA, client, and project standards and applicable codes.
