    Role Summary
    You are an experienced HR Professional that is innovative, adventurous, collaborative and passionate about using your HR skills to help Durabuilt evolve. You think like a business owner, understand business priorities, champion change by anticipating needs, and translate these into an HR agenda that supports the business as it grows. You build relationships and credibility with your managers by thinking strategically and executing tactically through proactive communication, transparency and practical integrated solutions. You partner with the managers to provide HR management support and are the key person managers go to for operational support.
    Experience
    5+ years in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role. Track record of translating strategic thinking into actionable plans and output. Previous experience with the Manufacturing or Construction industry. Experience supporting a culture of recognition and performance. Experience with immigration- LMIA, VISAs, Workshare. Experience using an HRMS software is an asset. Strong knowledge of employment law and practices. Experience in the practical application of legislation (as relevant) to workplace solutions. Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce. Experience working within a Quality Management System and internal HR audits. Supporting supervisors and people leaders with effective communication and team motivation. Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

    Accountabilities
    HR Operations - 30%
    Working knowledge of organizational diagnosis, change leadership, culture, compensation, engagement, diversity, benefits, HRMS, talent development, and performance management. Reduce legal risks and ensure compliance. Partner with the HR Manager and counsel as required. Identify areas for improvement in HR operational practices and recommend practical solutions. Provide guidance in WCB, modified and return to work, leave of absence, accommodation, and medical documentation. Create and maintain employee forms and templates for employment practices. Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions. Work with Quality on HR QMS/Audits.
    Coaching and Development - 20%
    Support supervisors and cell leads to enhance leadership capabilities through coaching and mentorship. Work with leaders to identify development opportunities for individuals and teams. Support managers with performance reviews and career conversations. Lead by example to promote a positive workplace culture of high performance and engagement.
    Employee Relations - 40%
    Provide guidance on performance reviews, disciplinary, development, and internal promotions. Assist leaders to manage and resolve employee relations challenges. Guide managers regarding performance issues and performance improvement plans. Perform objective investigations as required. Review and provide guidance for employment terminations. Keep a pulse on culture and elevate concerns to the HR Manager and Operational Leaders. Develop collaborative relationships to support managers and HR operational needs. Monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Provide input on workforce forecasting, succession planning, and restructuring. Comply with legal requirements relevant to day-to-day operations.
    Recruitment - 10%
    Work with leaders to build a proactive talent acquisition plan, anticipate workforce planning needs, explore recruitment options, and participate in the recruitment process. Perform job analysis, success profile reviews, and compensation analysis. Participate in employee onboarding activities (as required). Track and monitor employee turnover and collaborate with leaders on corrective strategies to improve retention. Strategic Hiring- Work with other members of the HR team on strategies for hiring and retention.
    Education
    Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Leadership or Psychology.

    EXPERIENCE
    Full cycle recruitment experience for manufacturing, trades, and office roles , including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Proven ability to develop job postings , manage applicant tracking systems (ATS), and executive recruitment marketing strategies. Strong understanding of hiring needs in manufacturing (can include production and/or construction) with the ability to build talent pipelines for production and skilled labor roles. Knowledge of Alberta labor laws, employment standards, and compliance in recruitment, onboarding, and job pricing. Experience in conducting interviews, pre-employment assessments, and reference checks to ensure quality hires. Ability to coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs to improve retention and employee engagement. Experience working with third-party staffing agencies, job fairs, and community recruitment initiatives to attract diverse talent. Strong reporting and analytical skills to track key hiring metrics (time-to-fill, turnover rates, cost-per-hire) and recommend process improvements.     Work with the HR team and Hiring Managers to build and maintain a recruitment strategy for their departments, anticipate needs, and explore recruitment options. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job sites. Proactively determine current and future needs, seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies. Maintain a continuous pool of applicants to ensure proactive recruitment. Assess talent pools regularly and expand recruitment efforts as required. Collaborate with the HR Team in job analysis, job specification, task analysis, and job description reviews. Screen and sort resumes. Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process. Perform pre-screen interviews as needed. Assess and qualify candidates against Durabuilt's Values. Participate in interviews as requested. Conduct reference checks. Work with HR Business Partner to draft new hire, promotions, and transfer employment contracts.     Community Engagement - 20%
    Draw upon your knowledge of the business to forge relationships with internal leaders and external community engagement in building outsourcing strategies. Support and collaborate with the HR team in building Durabuilt's brand at recruitment events, such as career fair, on-campus recruiting events, community associations. Participate, plan, and manage all Career Fair related activities. Represent Durabuilt internally and externally at events with the goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidates and communities. Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
    Orientation / Onboarding - 10%
    Participate and lead employee onboarding activities. Prepare onboarding and new hire kits. Track and monitor recruitment activities and proactively build resume database of interested candidates. Work with third-party agencies on the sourcing of critical hires.
    EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION
    Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Related Field. CPHR or in progress. RPR or in progress. Clear criminal check.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    3+ years' experience working as a Recruiter. Experience using an ATS and HRMS is an asset. Experience recruiting using social media such as Linked In, Facebook, Twitter. Familiarity with assessment tools such as DISC. Ability to generate a high volume of high-quality talent and building a proactive pipeline. Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience in the Manufacturing or Construction industry is an asset.

    Role Summary This is a full-time position based in Edmonton, AB. The Assistant Controller works closely with the Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations and reporting of the company.     Accountabilities: Accounting Functions (70%) Assist in conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning. Prepare government remittances, GST/PST, payroll, and corporate tax according to all statutory deadlines. Review and maintain monthly bank statements and general ledger reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end accounting report. Collaborate with department heads to assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.     Job Summary
    Warehouse Operations, Receiving and Distribution Oversee and participate in the receipt and distribution of all incoming and outgoing deliveries and verify against PO's. Process all returns-to-vendors (RTV's), chargebacks, transfers and damages. Comply with safe operating procedures, safekeeping of materials and property, security, and record-keeping. Maintain an orderly receiving area as well as the general maintenance of the Warehouse. Work closely with purchasing to ensure accurate records are current.     Inventory and Shortage Establish workable and efficient inventory systems and controls for all materials. Ensure inventory is always current and timely delivery of products vendors.     Work Experience 5+ years’ experience in Warehousing. 2+ years’ experience as a Team Leader. Previous experience with Manufacturing or Construction industry. Proficient in computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and database entry.
    Working conditions: Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0llbs to 100llbs. Work in a production facility and in an office located in the Receiving area. Repetitive movements and work. Standing for extended periods. Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis. Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery. Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise. Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
