Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE As a Project Manager specializing in Building Science with focus on existing buildings Restoration, Roofing, and new construction Building Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for overseeing projects that enhance the structural integrity and performance of buildings. The role involves managing restoration and roofing projects, ensuring the quality assurance standards are met, and implementing building science principles to optimize building performance. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively. Success in this role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a keen eye for detail. Duties And Responsibilities As a member of our Building Quality Assurance team, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Lead and perform comprehensive reviews of architectural, structural, and building envelope design drawings and shop drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices. Conduct detailed investigations and assessments of building envelope systems, including cladding, roofing, below-grade waterproofing, and parking structures, to identify performance issues, construction deficiencies, or damage. Prepare technical reports, deficiency reviews, and repair recommendations for stakeholders such as builders, developers, property managers, and owners, and present findings through written documentation and client meetings. Guide and mentor junior staff by reviewing reports, providing technical oversight, and supporting professional development within the team. Support builders and developers by advising on innovative construction methods, addressing deficiencies, and assisting in resolving claims related to building performance. Participate in and lead proposal development efforts including scope definition, resource planning, and fee estimates in response to client RFPs.     Job Description
    In your role, you will contribute to the successful execution of projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical expertise to ensure high-quality deliverables.
    Lead small to large-scale electrical engineering projects, coordinating with other disciplines. Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers in developing engineering drawings and technical documentation. Assist with specifying, evaluating, and procuring electrical and control system equipment while completing electrical designs. Participate in client and project meetings, providing valuable input and insights. Contribute to the growth of the Electrical department through the review and development of standards and templates.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology with a P.L. (Eng.) registration with APEGA. P.Eng. in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator (e.g., APEGA, EGBC, APEGS, or EGMB). 4+ years of experience in Energy projects in Canada, including acting as a Project Electrical Lead. 1+ years of experience leading junior engineers, technologists, and designers/drafters. Oil and gas or process facilities experience is an asset. Infrastructure project experience in Traffic Signal Design Roadway Lighting is not a requirement, however it will be considered an asset. Renewable energy project experience is not a requirement, however it will be considered an asset. Strong understanding of project change management, procurement systems, and procedures. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D would be an asset. Occasional travel to facilities may be required.

    Job Description
    The Role:
    We boast a seasoned multi-disciplinary crew ready to support your land development endeavor. To guarantee seamless project delivery, we provide an all-encompassing approach and a comprehensive array of services.     Tailoring our approach to the specific nature of the development, we meticulously prepare engineering documents necessary for submission. These documents serve as a testament to our unwavering commitment to adhere to municipal design standards and criteria, assuring the municipality that the proposed development won't adversely affect adjacent properties or downstream infrastructure.
    Embedded within Egis’s land development process is a thorough assessment of natural features on each site. Our meticulous plans are designed to minimize environmental impacts while ensuring the sustainable development of your project.
    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead and oversee the planning, design, and delivery of land development, municipal servicing, linear and heavy civil infrastructure projects, from concept through construction and post-construction acceptance. These include subdivisions, site plans, mixed-use developments, lot grading, stormwater management, sanitary and water servicing, roadway and access design, and utility coordination, arterial roadways, urban reconstruction, highway improvements, bridges/culverts, water/wastewater conveyance, and stormwater management systems. Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technologists, and subconsultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet municipal, provincial, and regulatory standards. Provide technical authority in stormwater management, sanitary and water servicing, grading and drainage, roadway design, and utility coordination for subdivision, site plan, and municipal capital projects. Manage client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies, ensuring projects align with client objectives and community needs. Secure and expedite approvals by preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and submissions for subdivisions, site plans, zoning amendments, and environmental approvals. Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and contract administration; negotiate consultant and contractor agreements and manage change orders. Provide construction-phase leadership, including shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, progress certifications, field inspections, and resolution of technical and contractual issues. Mentor and develop staff, providing guidance to intermediate engineers, technologists, and interns to build technical capability, project management skills, and client service excellence. Assist with and actively participate in business development initiatives including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, developing fee structures, and delivering client presentations; actively contribute to expanding client portfolios and securing repeat work. Strengthen market presence by attending industry events, fostering relationships with municipal officials, developers, and contractors, and promoting the firm’s expertise in sustainable and resilient infrastructure. Promote innovation and sustainability, integrating Low Impact Development (LID), green infrastructure, and resilient design principles into project solutions. Ensure rigorous quality control across all project phases, reviewing designs for constructability, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness prior to submission. Monitor and interpret industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively advising clients and teams on their implications and incorporating best practices into project execution.

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and attributes:
    Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering; 10+ years of design experience on land development projects; Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario; Design skills with good working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French would also be an asset); Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, time management and ability to think creatively; Sound understanding of the land development process; Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team Experienced with project management and has worked in, or understands the consulting engineering environment; Working knowledge of modelling software (PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, etc.); and Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.

Preparing Dam Breach Analyses and Dam Safety Reviews. Conduct fieldwork and investigations. Preparing and reviewing technical reports documenting the results of the modeling/hydraulic analysis. Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies. Meeting with MTO, municipal or private clients. Assisting in the preparation of proposal submissions and cost estimates. Providing mentorship, guidance and quality control of junior engineers and technical staff. Securing relevant projects for our growing water resources team. Watershed and sub watershed level analysis for municipal, provincial, and private land development projects. Watercourse hydraulic analysis and Erosion and Scour Analysis. Stream Restoration and Streambank Stabilization. Work towards RAQs certification. Qualifications University degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario. 10+ years of design experience on storm water management, water resources planning/engineering projects in Ontario. Significant experience in hydrotechnical applications, the design and analysis of stormwater management facilities, Low Impact Developments, storm sewers and watercourses to support municipal infrastructure and Ministry of Transportation designs. Knowledge and experience in watercourse management including erosion control, water quality, slope stability and natural channel design. Knowledge and experience with watershed studies and floodplain mapping. Extensive knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal regulatory requirements (MECP, MTO, MNRF, CHBDC, etc.). Strong working knowledge of modeling software (GeoHEC-RAS, Visual Otthymo, StormCAD, HY-8, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8 etc.). Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or In Roads. Fluvial Geomorphology experience would be considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French would be considered an asset). Proficient knowledge in the use of Excel spreadsheet and database tools. Strong project management and mentorship skills. Job Description Reporting to the Project Manager, the Deputy Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall success of Major Projects in Canada. Be the key coordinator on all Program Wide internal projects with various disciplines.
