Job DescriptionSummary of Job Demands:Maintenance is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of on-site equipment and general operational needs. Daily tasks may vary heavily depending on equipment functionality, time of year, as well as scheduled annual/monthly checks. The majority of the shift is spent responding to maintenance requests sent by other staff, which are viewed from computer setup. Maintenance is required to view, resolve or escalate submitted requests, and update the resolution status. Request demands can greatly vary, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, fixing equipment (beds, lifts etc.) or moving furniture.While Maintenance is not answering requests, they are attending preventative maintenance checks. These checks are also highly variable and includes checking the operation of fire alarms/extinguishers, boiler room equipment, exhaust vents, kitchen equipment or mechanical lifts. Checks can vary from visual inspection, application of lubrication on mechanical motors and checking mechanical operations. Documentation of completed checks is done manually.The employee may be required to assist housekeepers/PSWs in movement of furniture or packages.Any tasks that are beyond the expertise of the employee will be contracted to an external company. Job DescriptionReporting to the Sr. Director, HR Technology and Employee Experience, the Manager, HRIS (Workday) Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of HRIS configuration planning, delivery and Workday release management. Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager, Finance Partner, the Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will work closely with the Corporate Function business partners to provide consistent management reporting, corporate budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and business case analysis support.The successful candidate will bring critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, a strong attention to detail and a desire to "dig in" to learn the business while being mindful of the strong culture and commitment of the Company to provide the best care possible for our patients and residents across Canada.This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.Key responsibilities include:Business partner with corporate functions to complete FP&A tasks including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Assist business partners and manage the quarterly forecasting process for cost centers (all elements of income statements).Lead the budgeting process in conjunction with the Director and Manager for corporate business partners.Prepare review packages analyzing actuals vs. budget and forecast vs. budget variances and partner with respective corporate functions to ensure results are communicated.Work with the Finance and Business Unit teams to assist in the consolidation of financial reports and critical KPI's across the business units – ensuring KPI tracking and analysis of the P&L are in line with budgets and updated forecasts.Support process improvement initiatives related to monthly reporting and planningSupports internal and external auditors where required.Ad-hoc analysis as required.What we're looking for:3+ years of relevant post-graduate experience, accounting, or other similar corporate finance role.University Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Accounting, or business-related discipline.CPA (or working towards the designation).Strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to work with and manage large amounts of data.Experience with enterprise accounting reporting systems (Workday) and month end close.Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; can see the "big picture" in a complex business environment.Ability to clearly communicate written and verbal recommendationsAbility to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.What Extendicare has to offer:At Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
