Store Manager role at Flaman Group of Companies

Flaman Sales Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for you! We’re looking for a dynamic and innovative Store Manager to spearhead the launch of our brand new location 14 minutes east of Calgary, Alberta. Training for this role is expected to begin late January/early February 2026.

We need an extraordinary leader who’s ambitious, business‑savvy, has excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish and nurture relationships. The ideal candidate knows the agriculture industry, can juggle several tasks, and provides quality leadership to a small team.
Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a culture of excellent customer service and positivity
Regular communication with the Regional Manager & President
Attend manager meetings as scheduled (either in person or via Teams)
Achieve company objectives through effective planning, goal setting, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance
Drive sales through the development of sales staff, focusing on coaching, training, and role‑modeling desired behaviors
Meet or exceed financial goals, focusing on sales, service, delivery, and overall profitability
Maintain controllable expenses within established guidelines and budget
Process billing, invoices, and related documents to ensure vendors and service providers are paid within the appropriate time frame
Perform inventory functions, including monitoring and conducting regular inventory counts (monthly & quarterly), ordering and forecasting future needs
Establish and maintain operational and monetary controls; prepare daily bank deposits and perform daily/weekly auditing tasks; report discrepancies to the Regional Manager/President immediately
Maintain clean, tidy and organized showroom to ensure visual presentation standards are met
Ensure store location and work practices are compliant with OH&S regulations and employment standards legislation
Recruit, hire, and train new employees, including continued training and development
Create and oversee staff scheduling
Implement individual development plans, set productivity and performance standards, complete annual performance evaluations for each team member
Ensure consistency and best practices align with other Flaman locations across the company
Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet those needs
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, attending classes, and participating in professional groups
Manage month‑end, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
Complete required paperwork with accuracy according to company policies, procedures and protocols
Occasional travel for work will be necessary
Other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
Recognize the importance of creating strong and lasting relationships with customers and employees
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related education (an asset)
Minimum 5 years actively working in a management role and managing a team
Experience in sales and retail within the agriculture industry (an asset)
Extraordinary leadership skills with the ability to motivate, provide direction, support and train team members
Budgeting skills, with good understanding of profit & loss
Experience with inventory management
Sales expertise and familiarity with POS systems
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Outstanding problem solving, conflict resolution and troubleshooting skills
Impeccable decision making and judgement
Ability to prioritize, multi‑task and meet deadlines
Professional, team player with a positive “can do” attitude
Exceptional work ethic, motivated and driven to obtain goals
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean abstract and satisfactory criminal record check
