    The Production Scheduler is responsible to plan, coordinate and manage the production schedule to ensure timely, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler works closely with operations, procurement, logistics and production teams to ensure materials, tools and resources are available for 100% Customer Delivery Performance. Job DutiesCreate, maintain, and ensure execution of the Production Schedule Issue work orders to the production floor and follow up on completionEnsure components are available for timely completion of the Production Schedule including Service RequirementsParticipate in daily production meetings and resolve scheduling/manpower conflicts as requiredManagement of Outside Vendors, prioritizing and inventory verificationAssist with Cycle counting/Bar CodingEnsure integrity of data entry Train staff to cover duties in their absenceOrganize and participate in Annual Physical InventoriesReview long-term forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity/material issues and recommend appropriate actionConstantly look for improvements and help implement solutions RequirementsMinimum grade 12 Materials Management accreditation an assetTwo years work experience in a manufacturing or production environmentPractical experience in using MRP or ERP systems is preferredProficient in Excel – intermediate level preferredAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentTeam player within multi-disciplined teamStrong organizational skill setStrong computer skills – CMS experience an assetUnderstanding of Indented Bill of Materials creation and updatingExcellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsMeticulous record maintenance skillsStrong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive teamStrong Customer Service orientationAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to manage multiple projects Working ConditionsManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripheralsOvertime as requiredJob involves working on the Production Floor
