The successful candidate will have an extensive background in geophysics, with a specialization in electromagnetics. They will understand the theoretic and practical aspects of airborne geophysical survey technologies, in particular time-domain electromagnetics (TDEM), and also potential field and radiometric data acquisition, processing, and interpretation. They will understand and verify the quality of airborne geophysical datasets. Successful candidates will communicate well at all levels, convey information fluently, and be comfortable with client interactions. The job may require some travel including international locations. They may require direct communication with clients (written and oral).
Responsibilities
Processing of airborne geophysical data
Perform 1D, 2D, and 3D inversions using commercial and proprietary software
Perform Maxwell 2.5D plate modeling
Perform geophysical interpretation and mineral exploration targeting
Prepare geophysical interpretation reports and case studies
Close collaboration with R&D and Sales & Marketing staff
Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Geophysics (M.Sc. or Ph.D)
Minimum 10 years experience in mineral exploration geophysics
Expertise in Electromagnetic, Magnetic, and Radiometric methods
Extensive Experience with Geosoft Oasis mapping and data processing platform
Geophysical data analysis and report writing
Superior English and French verbal and written communication skills
