    Rôles et responsabilités : Gérer le personnel quant à la distribution et à l’exécution des réparations et entretiens des véhicules lourds. Assurer le suivi de la productivité, des budgets et la maximisation des opérations ; Superviser les pièces requises aux réparations à effectuer sur les divers équipements de l’entreprise;                                                           Attribuer des bons de travail, assurer la gestion des approbations et fermer les bons de travail; Gérer les rapports avec les sous-contractants externes et approuver les paiements des réparations externes; Répondre aux appels de services; Gestion et planification des CVM; Coacher et supporter les mécaniciens dans leur développement professionnel. Participer au processus disciplinaire, contrôle et suivi des heures travaillées; Appliquer les politiques de GFL en matière de santé et sécurité au travail; Toutes autres tâches connexes. Qualifications et exigences : Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) candidat(e) ayant complété un D.E.P. en mécanique et qui justifierait de 5 années d’expérience en lien avec la mécanique de véhicules lourds. Avoir de solides connaissances en hydraulique sera considéré comme un atout. Pour occuper le poste, il est essentiel de démontrer une excellente habileté à planifier, organiser, faire un bon suivi; Vous devez démontrer d’une excellente capacité à résoudre des problèmes, à communiquer et à faire preuve d’autonomie.     Ce conducteur sera responsable du transport, du retrait, de la livraison et de la collecte de divers déchets dangereux liquides et solides provenant de différents sites clients. Il devra également assurer le chargement et le déchargement des camions. Il doit aussi être en mesure d’opérer une variété de camions et d’équipements, notamment des camions vacuum, des camions fourgons (box trucks), ainsi que tout autre équipement permis par sa classe de permis, au besoin, sur les sites. Responsabilités principales : • Superviser la manutention du chargement et sécuriser les cargaisons, y compris la préparation de l’équipement, l’application de pratiques sécuritaires et le respect des lois et règlements applicables. • Avoir une bonne connaissance et de l’expérience avec les documents gouvernementaux tels que les manifestes. • Effectuer les inspections de trajet sur l’équipement utilisé et sur le chargement, afin d’assurer la sécurité et la conformité du véhicule avant la route. • Se conformer aux lois et réglementations en vigueur, notamment en matière de conduite sécuritaire, de transport de marchandises, des heures de service du conducteur, de santé et sécurité au travail, de transport des marchandises dangereuses, de douanes et d’immigration, ainsi que des limites de poids et dimensions. • Manœuvrer les camions vers les zones de chargement ou de déchargement, en suivant les signaux de l’équipe au sol au besoin; vérifier que le véhicule est bien positionné et que tout équipement spécialisé de chargement est correctement installé. • Vérifier les véhicules avant de les conduire afin de s’assurer que l’équipement mécanique, de sécurité et d’urgence est en bon état de fonctionnement. • Signaler tout défaut du véhicule, accident, infraction routière ou dommage causé au véhicule. • Vérifier toute la documentation liée au chargement afin de s’assurer qu’elle est complète et exacte. • Tenir à jour les registres des heures de travail ainsi que l’état d’entretien et de réparation du véhicule, conformément aux réglementations provinciales, fédérales ou étatiques applicables. • Enregistrer et conserver toute la documentation requise, notamment le journal de bord du conducteur, les lettres de voiture, les manifestes, etc., par voie manuelle ou électronique. • Communiquer efficacement avec le public, les clients et les collègues, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit. • Effectuer le chargement et le déchargement des camions. • Effectuer les inspections périodiques avant, pendant et après la livraison afin de s’assurer que le chargement est bien attaché et sécurisé. • Livrer les produits et la documentation appropriée aux clients de manière courtoise et dans les délais. • S’assurer que tous les débris causés par le chargement ou le déchargement du camion sont nettoyés. • Fournir de la rétroaction à la supervision concernant les problèmes clients, les problèmes mécaniques ou les problèmes de livraison. • Former d’autres employés au besoin. • Effectuer toute autre tâche qui pourrait être assignée.     GFL Environmental is looking for a Front End Driver to join our team in Estevan, SK! Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks that provide services to a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts. This position will service multiple customers per day according to assigned routes. The waste will then need to be transferred to the appropriate station, landfill or drop-off location. Key Responsibilities: - Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities - Open container enclosures or gates to access cans.   • Class 1 Driver – Fluid Hauler

    Summary Our GFL Liquids Team is seeking a Class 1 Super B Tank Truck Driver to transport liquid waste from various customer sites across western Canada. The role primarily involves operating a Super B combination. The ideal candidate must have experience driving a Super B tanker and handling mountainous terrain. This position is primarily Monday through Friday and weekends may be required. This position is based in Edmonton, Airdrie, the BC Lower Mainland or the BC Interior. The candidate must be comfortable with overnight stays in the truck as needed. Specific Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and regulations. • Familiarity and experience working with government documents such as manifests. • Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and loaded, ensuring safety and roadworthiness. • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions. • Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle and any special loading equipment are properly positioned. • Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. • Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook, bills of lading, manifests etc. by manual or electronic means. • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form. • Loading and unloading of trucks. • Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is secure. • Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner. • Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of the truck is cleaned up. • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems. • Train others when required. • Other duties as required. Requirements • Valid Class 1 Commercial Driving License and a fairly clean Commercial Driving Abstract for the past 5 years. • Out-of-town work is required. LOA/travel is included. • Super B and Fluid Hauling experience is required. • Mountain driving experience is required. • Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck. • Experience working in a safety sensitive environment. • Must successfully pass pre-hire and site-specific drug and alcohol screenings as required. Principales responsabilités • Desservir la clientèle dans un milieu principalement industriel. • Conduite de véhicules, manipulation de boyaux, pompage etc. • Faire l’inspection des véhicules avant utilisation. • Conduire et opérer des unités (vacuum / écureur / hydrovac et haute pression) • Effectuer chacune des tâches et responsabilités de manière à préserver la santé, sécurité et environnement. • Prendre connaissance des directives de travail et s’assurer que toutes les données pertinentes sont disponibles et en bon état (date, endroit, travaux, fiches signalétiques, etc.). • Procéder et préparer le matériel avant le départ (état, disponibilité, etc.). • S’assurer d’avoir en main tous les documents nécessaires (permis, bon de travail, facture, etc.). • Remettre les documents au Directeur ou le Superviseur des opérations (bon de travail signé, feuille de temps, log book, carburant, motel, etc.). • Remplir le camion de carburant et aviser de toute défectuosité mécanique. Informer le Directeur ou le Superviseur des opérations s’il y a de l’équipement manquant et/ou endommagé. • Nettoyer et décontaminer le camion, lorsque requis • Port des EPI et Fit Test Expérience, Compétences & Scolarité • Diplôme d’étude secondaire • Atout – Bilinguisme; • Exigence - Détenir un permis de conduire valide (Atout - permis de conduire de classe 1 ou 3): Fonction FM • Habilité à interagir avec les gens, aptitudes pour le service à la clientèle; We thank you for your interest.   • GFL Environmental is looking for Class 1 or 3 Front End Drivers to join our team in Dawson Creek, British Columbia! Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks that provide services to a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts. This position will service multiple customers per day according to assigned routes. The waste will then need to be transferred to the appropriate station, landfill or drop-off location. Why Join TEAM GREEN: • Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits (health, vision, and dental) • Life insurance and retirement savings options • Ongoing learning and development opportunities • Career advancement potential within a growing company • Team-focused and supportive work environment Key Responsibilities: - Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities - Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; complete and submit a vehicle condition report at the end of the shift - Courteously interacts with customers and/or the general public along the route to answer questions or respond to requests; Notify supervisor of issues requiring management action - Maintains and submits a logbook, daily route/productivity sheet, and vehicle condition report (post-trip inspection sheet) as required by law or company policy - Maneuver truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to back up - Uses a key map and GPS to locate service addresses - Follows safe operating practices, including lock out/ tag out procedures to ensure proper operation of the truck - Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds. Occasionally move/push up to 300 pounds. - Follow all safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties.
