We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in! We are on the lookout for a Transportation Team Lead in Ottawa, who shares our passion for being Customer Obsessed. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in being responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Part Time Saturday & Sunday 7am to 3:30pm Key Responsibilities Staging and sorting of items, palletizing, and crating; Provide regular reports on transportation performance and key metrics (SLAs) to the operations leadership, Use of tools including but not limited to scanners, carts, hand trucks and dollies; Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion; Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively; Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture; Train new employees on company standards and procedures; Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates; Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity; Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback; Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures to maximize efficiency; Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment; Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or missing goods; Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, account management, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve issues; Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners. Travel to other facilities required on a semi regular basis. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred; Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; Proficient in warehouse management software and the Google Suite; Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Requirements Must have drivers license and own vehicle Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs); Prolonged periods of standing and walking; Why Join Us?   • Overview Implementations & Solutions Lead – Warehouse at GoBolt. The role supports the design and implementation of innovative warehouse solutions to improve operational efficiency and support new merchant onboarding. You will assist with facility layouts, process documentation, and data analysis to help bring new warehouse operations to life. This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone early in their career looking to grow in logistics, warehousing, and implementation work. You will work closely with senior, cross-functional team members and merchants, contribute to business development projects, and support the successful execution of warehouse setup and service launches. Strong organizational and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to learn technical concepts related to distribution and operations are essential. A background in supply chain, logistics, or industrial engineering is ideal but not required. Responsibilities Assist in developing warehouse layouts and solution concepts under the guidance of senior team members. Support merchant onboarding activities, including coordination of timelines, documentation and actioning of setup processes. Act as a warehouse systems and process subject matter expert in both Order Management and Warehouse Management. Work with data files to perform basic analysis and identify trends. Participate in internal and external client meetings to gain understanding of project goals and requirements. Prepare presentations and reports to support project tracking and communication. Support the evaluation of operational processes, space utilization, and equipment needs. Help identify areas for improvement based on observation and data inputs. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to support project execution. Develop cost solutions that are realistic to implement and meet market expectations on price. Actively support RFQs/RFPs, preparing world-class proposals for prospective merchants. Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in 3PL warehousing, logistics, operations, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent education preferred but not required. Strong interest in logistics, project management, and continuous improvement. Proficient in Google or Microsoft Suite and data analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across multiple teams. Knowledge on Shopify, NetSuite, SaaS, BI platforms is an advantage but not a requirement.
