Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dynamic and Bilingual (French-English) Sales Representative to sell premium fitness equipment to gyms in the Ottawa/Hull/Gatineau area with about 5% in Quebec City. In this role, you will engage with potential customers, build strong relationships, and provide exceptional service through innovative products and best-in-class customer experiences. As a key part of our world-class organization, you will be responsible for traveling between Quebec City and Ottawa to meet with prospects, showcasing the value of our top-quality fitness solutions. Fluency in both French and English is required to effectively serve our diverse client base.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent. Responsibilities: · Manage assigned vertical market channels within designated territory. · Outbound sales calls and visits to prospects for new direct business. · Conduct Matrix Fitness showcase tours for existing and potential customers. · Meet monthly goal for number of prospective customer site visits and new opportunities volume. · Provide management with product, market and customer information. · Regularly provide management with accurate reports. · Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within territory. · Work with other sales representatives / dealers within the territory. · Generate leads for the commercial dealer within the territory. · Follow all related procedures & policies. · Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel. · Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made. · Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. · Monitor competitive activity in the market and identify new competition and/or changes in competitor’s activities. · Maintain strong customer relationships and develop programs for attracting new customers. · Ensure the prompt invoicing and receipt of accounts receivable. · Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospect’s problems and solutions to those problems. · Other projects as needed.
Skills/Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing or related field preferred; however, extensive managerial experience in the commercial exercise equipment sales industry and or VM sales may substitute. · Sales forecasting and reporting capability required · Working knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities or vertical market required · 2-3 years or more of commercial fitness equipment sales preferred however someone with a passion for fitness will also be considered. · Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. · Use of the IT systems needed for your work (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) · Able to deploy superior problem-solving skills. · Strong written and oral communication skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills. · Able to travel within Canada. · MUST be Bilingual (English & French).
