  • Maintenance Team Lead  

    - Cambridge

    Our client in Cambridge is looking for an Maintenance Team Lead to join their team in Cambridge on the NIGHT shift.
    This role is best suited for experienced Maintenance Team Leaders holding a valid Millwright license and with at least two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
    As the Maintenance Team Lead you will be compensated with an hourly rate between $42.00-44.50/ hour depending on experience PLUS a night shift premium of $0.75 per hour between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.!

    Qualifications: Millwright License a MUST Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to action Proven ability to work collaboratively, lead and achieve outcomes within deadlines and schedules Proficient with ERP and production planning software Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    Responsibilities: Supervise and train maintenance technicians according to company training program Ensure equipment performance through OEE and efficiency metrics Provide daily management and support for operational success Oversight of daily maintenance department activities on assigned shifts Conduct emergency equipment repairs during production Provide leadership and coaching to employees, evaluated based on employee satisfaction Implement strategies in-line with company initiatives Develop training plans for mechanics Promote company’s mission, vision, and training culture Review and report training effectiveness through performance analytics Manage disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews Monitor time and attendance, approve vacation requests Conduct incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations Issue disciplinary actions when necessary Manage waterlogs and other assigned duties Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines, Company policies, Health & Safety Rules and all Federal, provincial, and local requirements.

    Our client in Kitchener is looking for a Production Manager to join the team in a full-time permanent role! The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in production/plant management in a manufacturing environment and possess solid leadership skills! If you are the successful candidate, you will receive a competitive salary of 80K per year, along with a full benefits plan, RSP matching, and paid vacation time! Job Responsibilities: Develop positive attitudes and teamwork. Train operators running automatic machines to perform complete quality inspection and documentation. Improve quality by ensuring daily quality inspections are completed at the beginning and end of shifts with quality technicians and inspectors. Train Shift Leaders, Production employees, Process/Tool Room, Set-up, and Maintenance staff. Support and develop company objectives of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Promote continual improvement within the quality department. Set daily priorities and develop an efficient daily plan. Ensure a safe working environment by providing staff with the resources to complete their work safely and efficiently. Understand and train staff on the ISO program. Coordinate production in order of priorities and improve plant efficiency. Develop a training and mentoring program. Work with the team to develop a KanBan system for all raw and finished goods, including a plan to manage material overflow. Implement the use of standard process sheets and standardized shift performance reporting. Lead, implement, and document continuous improvement solutions identified from performance monitoring. Participate in Monthly Non-Conformance and Defect Tracking Meetings. Collaborate with the Product Development Group as part of new project launches. Monitor daily shift performance reports to investigate output anomalies. Required Skills: 3-5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in injection molding. Excellent supervision and leadership skills. Superior communication skills with the ability to motivate staff to be productive. Set-up and processing capabilities. Ability to manage staff, set priorities, assign tasks efficiently, and meet production goals. Experience reporting production results.
