The Road Construction Supervisor has the overall responsibility for the supervision, planning, execution and monitoring of the assigned project.
Primary Scope of Role:
Participate in pre-job planning Effectively plan the short-term and long-term schedules for all aspects of a project (subcontractors, internal work) Effectively understand and comply with the bid estimate, project schedule, and project specifications to adequately instruct the foremen and subcontractors in the performance of the work Review and approve timesheets Procurement on a daily basis all aspects of a project (daily diary - written and photographic) Participate in a job close-out Promote and enforce company health and safety policies with employees, subcontractors, and suppliers Participate in Daily Huddles and weekly Tailgate Safety Meetings Conduct accident investigations and prepare documentation Provide the Contract Administrator with a summary for invoicing (month-end, project completion) including contract work and extra work. Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications. Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency. Participate in weekly and monthly job cost reviews including review of cost variance and profit/loss reports; resolve revenue and cost issues
Position Requirements: A minimum of 5 years' progressive supervisor experience in road building, asphalt paving and construction projects MTO project experience is a must Experience with contract documents and contract drawings Experience with requesting and reading locates Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt and construction projects. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Senior Estimator is responsible for providing overall technical expertise and administrative support to construction projects.
Primary Scope of Role
Follow up on timelines for submitted bids and update the estimating system with results. Coordinate the transfer of successful projects, subcontractor contracts and purchase orders to contract administrator and accountant. Perform pre-job planning to include all senior role players and attend all site meetings Maintain and build customer relations. Mentor project coordinators and junior level staff to facilitate their development. Assign roles and responsibilities for junior level staff.

Reporting to the Director, Tri-city, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project. Primary Scope of Role : Assist the Superintendent in managing work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications. Support the Superintendent in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained. Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed. Advise the Superintendent and Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems. Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget. Meet with Owners, Consultants, and Architects in a professional manner and can communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company. Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control. Interface with project team, subcontractors and related third parties. Monitor and inspect project sites to maintain a safe work environment and provide leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed. Position Requirements : A EIT or CET designation is preferred. 2 years of construction experience desired. Sewer/Watermain experience preferred. Knowledge of MTO traffic standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project.
Primary Scope of Role
Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed Prepare project documentation such as contracts, permits, and technical documents. Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems Assist in maintaining and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.
Position Requirements
2 years of construction experience Experience on MTO road construction projects is preferred Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment. Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business. Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives. Superb communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities. Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
