    Job Description
    The Senior Solution Architect is a leader in the Hitachi Solutions organization, working to envision innovative, automated solutions in the Microsoft cloud environment. The Senior Solution Architect is part of the Delivery Go To Market team. The Senior Solution Architect partners with the Sales team to drive the solution sales process from inception through close to ensure that our solutions meet our customers' needs. The Senior Solution Architect partners with the Delivery Domains from project initiation through blueprint to ensure the vision established in presales is carried forward throughout delivery.
    The Senior Solution Architect works with our clients to scope the engagement, discover and analyze high-level requirements, and to define solution architectures with the client, sales, and implementation teams. This role should be capable and comfortable in communicating with client IT leadership and the C-suite, with the demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical architecture, development standards, and data & process governance. This is a hands-on leadership position in a dynamic, demanding environment.
    Duties and Responsibilities Work with Microsoft and other partner software and services organizations to ensure Hitachi Solutions is at the forefront of technology innovation. Work with Sales, Marketing, and the Delivery Domains to develop and define business application solution offerings and reference architectures. Work with Hitachi Solutions sales and delivery teams, and with our customers' business and technology teams, to understand customer requirements, and translate them into innovative Dynamics 365 cloud solutions leveraging Hitachi Solutions' core capabilities. Contribute to crafting sales deals that deliver end-to-end business solutions for customers from a delivery mindset. Develop and deliver the conceptual solution blueprint document during the sales process. Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams in order to define the scope of work associated with a proposed solution. Assist in conducting meetings with customers and prospects. Take a leading role in exposition and information gathering in areas where you have knowledge & experience. Assist in the creation and presentation of sales documents (for example: Estimates, Statement of Work, RFP, Proposal presentation decks). Contribute to ongoing refinement of communications, workshop and delivery templates, processes, patterns, and practices for the Solution Architecture team. Onboard Delivery Domains to the conceptual solution architecture defined in the sales process. Support customer satisfaction by actively facilitating open and effective communication across customer business units and functional teams through project initiation and support ad hoc requests through project delivery. Facilitate regular project architecture reviews during the Blueprint phase of delivery to ensure alignment of the logical solution with the conceptual solution. Review project outcomes with the delivery team to capture lessons learned and refinement of patterns and reference architecture. Collaborate with the Delivery Domains to aggressively identify where standard work and automation can accelerate discovery, communication, and solution identification. Support internal engagement through open and effective communication across Hitachi Solutions practice areas, IP, and marketing & sales teams. Traveling up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits. Reports to Senior Director, Solution Architecture. Qualifications Mastery of Dynamics 365 solutions including previous experience with Dynamics 365 design, architecture, configuration, customization, and deployment leveraging Finance and Supply Chain, Project Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights along with adjacent solutions. 8+ years' experience delivering complex enterprise solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics or similar, for a technology consulting firm or direct employment at a large corporation. 8+ years' experience working with cross-functional teams and heavily matrixed organization. 4+ years' experience performing and leading pre-sales activities including deal cost estimation and resource planning. Experience in Power Platform, Power Apps, Data / AI, Customer Insights, Power BI, preferred. Ability to express complex technical and business concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. Ability to work independently & support sales pursuits with a geographically dispersed team. The ability to bring together multiple parties with disparate perspectives and hierarchies of needs to focus on a single solution vision. Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be a self-directed learner. Problem-solving attitude. Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Experience in contract development preferred to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with Hitachi Solutions policies. Additional Information Base Salary Pay Range*: $162,000 to $247,000 CAD

    Role Overview:
    As a Quality Lead, the Incumbent will contribute to enhancing the maturity level within their domain, in alignment with the operating model established by the entity or country.     Position Overview:

    The Chief Vehicle Integration Architect provides expert level technical knowledge and leadership to define, evaluate and approve vehicle hardware architecture design to ensure it meets and satisfies the Design for Deployment principles. The Chief Vehicle Integration Architect is responsible and accountable for interfacing with the onboard hardware design team for all projects to approve all vehicle design work meets and satisfies maintainability requirements when in revenue. Once the design is released, they are accountable to meet proposed budget and schedule while ensuring successful integration between Onboard Controller and Rolling Stock interface during the commissioning phase.

    Key Accountabilities: Responsible for all complex brownfield vehicle retrofit portfolio from all aspects, such as design, schedule, budget, customer interface, commissioning, and training programs of local staff competency. Accountable for identifying risks on the vehicle program (from design to deployment) and provide appropriate mitigations to contain the risk. Additionally, they are also accountable to identify potential opportunities on the vehicle program. Works with Onboard Hardware Design architects for multiple projects and defines the correct vehicle interface design and architecture which can be deployed seamlessly. Lead the "Design for Deployment" initiative for Vehicle retrofit program for seamless deployment and commissioning of the vehicles with minimal or no impact to Revenue Service. Ensures the defined electrical interfaces between CBTC equipment and vehicle satisfies the technical requirements. For brownfield projects with vehicle retrofit activities, leads the integration discussions with customer and rolling stock suppliers regarding the interface points between CBTC and Rolling Stock. Align and coordinate directly with Deployment Managers on vehicle installation and/or retrofit activities for a given project. Works with Deployment Managers and Procurement to coordinate Procurement activities specific to vehicle installation/retrofit program. Recommends prototype design of boards that can aid the Onboard Platform integration with RS circuitry that all safety issues are implemented through company's safety processes and Accountable for ensuring procedures, specifically while managing any customer site activities. Leads first prototype vehicle installation and commissioning (Static PICO & Dynamic PICO) at Rolling Stock factory. Leads a team of Vehicle engineers in URS BL and Country of Destination in troubleshooting vehicle integration issues with SelTrac CBTC. Provides training to Deployment teams in Country of Destination on vehicle retrofit activities, interface troubleshooting, Static PICO and Dynamic PICO activities.
    Key Requirements: At least 15 years' experience in vehicle hardware design. Strong knowledge in hardware troubleshooting (FPGA, Microprocessors/Microcontrollers and DSPs (Intel x86, Motorola, PIC family, TI family, etc), I/O interfaces (PC/104, PCI, PCI-E, CAN, SPI, USB)). Display adept Product knowledge on end to end processes. Excellent knowledge on Deployment operations. Excellent knowledge of rail industry and technology.     Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation of a vigorous IVVQ program. Writes the IVVQ Plans.     Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. More than 8 years relevant working experience. Understanding of Work Package Management concepts. Understanding and managing the risks.
    Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience in managing small to medium IVVQ teams. Deep understanding of the Project Management Principles (ideally achieved through managing projects for multiple years). Practical experience in terms of creating and executing complex test plans and procedures. Ability to manage projects within budget/schedule in a challenging environment.     The Chief Architect - CBTC will provide expert level technical knowledge and leadership to identify, evaluate and guide communication-based train control systems in Engineering. They will provide final approval of complex signaling solutions for all technical proposals and perform system design, analysis, modelling, and simulation to specify communication-based train control systems; develop and define system design features to meet customer requirements and analyze and evaluate customer requirements to verify compliance with our product system technical requirements; develop and define System and Subsystems requirements to fulfill specific customer requirements on the project and communicate and gain acceptance of the design with the customer and internal stakeholders.

    Experience in leading large technical teams on complex solutions is a must. The incumbent is accountable for performing the design work independently, within cost and schedule limits, as defined in approved work packages. Responsible for leading a team to perform system design activities to deliver a high quality and safe guideway design, on time, at the lowest cost while meeting customer requirements. The incumbent will also adapt system design processes to meet the needs of the project deployment and industry standards and ensure this process is followed by the team.

    They are able to understand complex technical topics in short periods of time and determine strategies to analyze and solve problems. This includes the ability to lead a team to understand and follow the strategy.

    As a technical expert in the company, this role will perform several key roles including:
