  • Warehouse Manager  

    - Toronto

    House of Spices is a deeply rooted brand within the food industry, leading the specialty of food and ingredient category for over 40 years. Fast-forward from its start as a homegrown family business, House of Spices has become a middle-market wholesale/manufacturer which includes multiple distribution networks across the country. Although the business has and continues to expand rapidly, the brand is still family-owned and home-based out of the NYC metro area. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team-oriented culture!
    We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations at our distribution center. This role is responsible for managing inventory, shipping and receiving, warehouse staff, and operational execution on the warehouse floor. The Warehouse Manager will partner closely with senior leadership to implement process improvements, ensure food safety compliance, and drive efficiency across all warehouse operations.
    Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shippingMaintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and inventory control proceduresEnsure proper product rotation, expiration tracking, and adherence to food safety standardsManage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveriesCoordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipping or receiving discrepanciesAssign daily work, monitor performance, and enforce productivity and safety standardsConduct performance feedback and support employee developmentEnsure warehouse cleanliness and compliance with FDA, OSHA, and food safety regulationsEnforce safety procedures and conduct regular safety inspectionsPartner with leadership to implement new systems, workflows, and operational initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectivenessAct as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations and leadershipCollaborate with supply chain, purchasing, sales, and operations teamsPrepare reports and operational updates for management as needed
    Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of warehouse or distribution center management experienceProven experience managing warehouse teams and floor operationsStrong knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse best practicesProficiency in MS Office, particularly ExcelExperience in food, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred
